(In Guatemala: the season gets lively after the Dec 7 devil burning, followed by convivios and Christmas on the 24th with food by the fireplace. At midnight, we pray, welcome baby Jesus, and open gifts. Then comes New Year and the Three Wise Men in January. It is a joyful, love-filled time with family)
