Apply a custom view to different projects/folders.

I created a custom table view for a project and would like to use that custom view for all other projects in the same space.  Checked with Wrike and they said the custom view is linked to that particular project and cannot be used on on different project/folders. Wish they would develop that function in the future, it will be very time-efficient for me.

I absolutely support this concept. Was searching to see if there was already a thread on this before I posted my own.

I want to be able to create a table layout that I can recall on any project. I get so tired of having to manually modify the table view for EVERY project. It gets really old, really fast.

Please have a way to save a Table view template or saved view that I can apply to other projects. I like most of my projects laid out the same way and doing it manually every time is inefficient and is a waste of time.

Hey Jason Pontius, I hear you and I can absolutely see how this would be helpful.

Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback here. I've passed that on to the team now. Please be sure to upvote the other requests mentioned above also if you have not already 👍

Adding a comment here that I put on the other thread:

We recently were discussing this with project managers, and manually setting up views on every project, every subproject, and even in folders, is such an exhaustive process. What we would like to see is a way to save a view layout as a template. So when you go to a project, you can not only create new views from the built in Wrike drop down of views, but then there is also a drop down for table views of "layouts" that we can apply to the custom table view.

For us, we generally have about 4 different table views that we use, so it would be very straightforward to create a new project, create new table views, apply the layout we want... done. Way faster than manually setting them up each and every time.

Its hard to believe that this wasn't considered when Wrike decided to remove the list view. Its been over a year since the OP requested this functionality. Any updates on progress? Thanks!

Samuel Kingsley  This ability does exist now. You can copy views into projects from other projects or blueprints.

Jason Pontius but can you set it to automatically apply to all project views?

Vaughnel Fletcher I am not sure I understand your question. You want to automatically apply views to projects or do you want to apply settings to views? The way your question is worded, I am not clear on if you want to apply views to projects or something else to project views.

You cannot automatically apply views to projects. You have to add the view(s) to a project. However, if you set up or add your views to blueprints, then once a project is created from a blueprint, it will contain those views. For existing projects, you have to add (copy) the views from another location. I have a project template that I reference for copying views into existing projects.

Don't know if this really helps.

Yes, you can copy a view from one location to another. But it looks like you only have two options: to do it one by one using "Copy To Another Location", or  to copy "To all top-level projects and folders". So the real question is: is there a way to copy a new view to all existing projects and folders at once (for example by selecting multiple/all locations at once or using wildcards? Thanks.

Pierre Deschamps No, I do not believe you can do a multi-select application. I either copy views into a single project or add them to blueprints so that all future projects will have them by default.

Hi Pierre Deschamps 👋 As Jason mentioned, currently, Wrike does not support copying a view to all existing projects and folders at once using multi-select or wildcards. A common workaround is to use Blueprints; you can create a Blueprint with the desired views and then use it to create new projects. However, I understand this might not be an ideal solution for you when looking to apply the view to all existing projects at once. Your comment has been forwarded to the responsible team. If there are any developments, I'll be sure to update you. Thanks!
