Mass Unfollow in New Table View

Hello,

Are there any plans to add unfollow as a mass action in the new table view? Our use case is that our workforce interacts with a lot of tasks, but doesn't need continuing notifications about them once individual responsibilities are completed. We generally use the new table view and switching to list view all the time is inconvenient.

Thanks.

Hey Ali Moses, I've checked with the team, and they don't have this in their plans at the moment. At the same time, I've flagged your feedback.

Hello, I would like to add to this request.  As a lead Wrike developer for my team, there are times where I import hundreds of tasks from excel.  In one instance, I would have to individually unfollow 1,000 tasks in order to not get email notifications. Has there been any progress on this "mass unfollow" function?

Hi Michael Morrison, welcome to the Community! Thank you for chiming in. Do I understand correctly that after creating tasks via Excel import you automatically start following them?

What might be happening is that because you're the author of the tasks and you have the relevant email notifications enabled, you're receiving emails when these items are modified. If that is the case, you can edit your email notification preferences in Settings (click on your profile picture) > Personal settings > Email preferences:

If you untick the relevant options, you will stop receiving email notifications when a task you created is updated.

I hope this information helps!

Hello Juan,

I've looked into this before.  The issue is that it disables notifications for all tasks.  As a member of our Wrike deployment team, there times where I create tasks and projects for other people on our team that I do not need to follow.  However, there are also instances where I create tasks that I do want to follow and receive email updates.

This is why a function where I can mass unfollow tasks would be extremely helpful.

Lisa @... With the eventual sunsetting of list view, are there any plans now to add mass unfollow to table view? This is a feature we are using on the daily.

hello! I wanted to mention the impact that a lose of mass unfollow would create in my position.

I have turned off all email notifications for my wrike account, because so much of my job lives in wrike, and I was double-handling everything between archiving notices in both my wrike and email inboxes.

I end up following wrike tasks predominantly through three methods: being assigned to process specific wrike forms that are submitted to my department, being mentioned in main job tasks by users in numerous departments seeking clarification or issue resolution, and being the person who uploads/creates new job tasks in wrike for two of our product programs, to which I am unlikely to ever interact with these tasks after they are created.

the first case doesn't create extra work because once the form is marked complete, no one will communicate further in that task thread.

the second case is the smallest in volume and doesn't matter because I unfollow those tasks at the time I resolve the issue.

but the third case is where waste is introduced. without the ability to mass unfollow via the list view, any future response in those tasks puts items in my inbox. items that aren't mine to respond to or resolve. and those things in my wrike inbox start to bury the priority items there that I need to take action on.

with the removal of list view, I do hope the option for mass unfollow migrates to the table view. it very much is a waste reducer.

thank you.
