[Best Practices] Onboarding New Team Members ๐Ÿ’ก

I'm a Customer Success Manager here at Wrike and I know how important it is to get new team members up and running in Wrike when they start.ย 
ย 
These are the best practices I suggest to teams (and strongly recommend you do!). Not only will it save you time in the long run because you'll have more of a process for onboarding, but it'll make sure everyone knows how to work effectively within the tool.ย 
What You Can Do
ย 
1: Onboarding Task Template
ย 
Create an onboarding task or go above and beyond and create an onboarding Folder. Make sure it covers the basics of how your team uses Wrike. For example, should you create a private Folder? Do you @mention people and/or assign them?
ย 
You can also downloadย the templateย I created for the teams I work with. Use it as is or make tweaks to it so that it works for your team. Download it and thenย import itย directly into your Workspace.ย 
ย 
2: Wrike Mentor
ย 
Pair each new teammate with a designated Wrike mentor - someone to help answer their questions and be there for them as they're getting the hang of things.ย 
ย 
3: Record a Training
ย 
Record a quick training that follows your workflow and how the team should use Wrike. Have people watch the training and then go to their mentor with any questions they may have.ย 
ย 
4: FAQ Folder
ย 
Build out an FAQ Folder. Each task in the Folder should answer one question. Don't worry about getting all the questions in on the first go, you can always keep adding to it.ย 
ย 
5: Monthly Lunch and Learns
ย 
Schedule a monthly lunch and learn with new team members (a group session). Use this as an opportunity to go over any lingering questions, work through processes, and set up expectations around how the company uses Wrike.ย 
ย

Greetings - Dury Bellย is the template still valid?ย  If so, can you share it with me?ย  Does each new team member have to rinse and repeat this procedure or can I share it?ย  (or is it meant to be embedded internally in our Wrike dbase?)

At this point, I just wanted to find a way to create new team members that have access to spaces/folders/projects globally (rather than have to go to each space/folder/project and give them permission.

Dan Mooreย Hi Dan - Apologies on the delay here! The template link above is still valid and I recommend to have this imported into a shared Knowledge Base space. Import the xls file within the K.B space and you will see folders with tasks that are imported into the space. Feel free to customize the naming conventions, and/or priority sorting of the tasks within the folders. This template is meant to be a framework of suggestions, I I also suggest to add or remove any tasks with Help Portal articles that will be most beneficial for your onboarding team members.

In regards to your question around new team members having access to each space/folder/project; if you have not already, go into the Users Tab within Account Management, and when you add new users to existing user groups, it will give them instant access to the spaces/folders/projects that are shared with those user groups.
