[Status: Launched! ๐Ÿš€] Change Default Filter in Projects

Currently the default setting for a project filer is "All active" and you have to click the "x" to get to "STATUS: Any". It would be much better if you could set a default for how you want to view your work so that you don't have to change it every time. For example, our team seems to think the "STATUS: Any" would work better as a default.

Lisaย I just tried this today because this is exactly what I was looking for. I was able to set the default view to a new Custom View I created, but when I apply filters and columns I want shown and sorting, I don't think it is letting me save out those changes. I followed the link to the WRIKE views tutorial you shared, and I can't find the "save" function in the three dots next to the title of my view to save out all the customizations I made.

Hi Melissa Cummings, thank you for getting back to meย ๐Ÿ™Œ

Once a custom view is set up, it's no longer possible to change the filter settings, but you can delete it and create a new one, apply the necessary filters, and there will be an option to save them for your custom view:

Does that help?ย

The article for Wrike Views has instructions for creating custom views but I can't proceed in the steps pastย

  1. Click the "+" button next to the views listed.

I don't see a plus button next to any of the filter or sort options. I can set the default view to List, Board etc. but how do I set up a default sort?ย  Each time I open one of my folders I need to resort it the way I need it.ย  I am using Wrike via Chrome.ย

Thank you for reaching out Jeanine Lore! Can you please tell me if you've enabled the New Wrike Experience? Because starting October 20, 2020, Wrike Views is a part of the New Experience. You will still see this feature in your account if you have enabled it from Wrike Labs before, but if not, you'll need to enable the New Experience. The instructions on how to enable can be found here, there's a useful FAQ section.

Please let me know how it goes if you decide to switch to the new navigationย ๐Ÿ™‚

has this been addressed? I find it very tedious to go and change the view to show only the active tasks every time I look at any project. Has anyone found a way to change the default view?

Hi everyone!
We believe that with the introduction of new Wrike views (previously known as custom views) where you can set a view as default and save filters for them, this request is now resolved. You can read about how to make views default here.ย
