[Status: Launched! ๐] Change Default Filter in Projects
Currently the default setting for a project filer is "All active" and you have to click the "x" to get to "STATUS: Any". It would be much better if you could set a default for how you want to view your work so that you don't have to change it every time. For example, our team seems to think the "STATUS: Any" would work better as a default.
I need this too. As an internalย commย coordinator,ย I have tasks that are "complete" but may change in the"distribution" phase.ย

@Everyone Hey, thanks for your votes and comments here! The status for this feature suggestion is "Backburner โ๏ธ" for now, which means the Product team sees value in it as well, but it's currently not on the roadmap. I'll update you here when I have new info on this.ย

This really needs to be added to Wrike. My meeting workflow has a completed status of "Meeting Information and Notes" and I hate having to always filter to all tasks so that I can see the meeting notes within each project. ๐ก
It will be great for me if I have this feature.

I'd love to see this feature made a defaultย setting on Wrike. It's unnecessarilyย cumbersome to have to remove filters every time I open a project.ย All of the designers on our team have approached me with a solution to this problem, and I've not been able to provide them with a fix.ย I understand the desire to have the UX be streamlined and less cluttered but having the ability to choose how we clean our displays would be better.ย From an overview standpoint,ย not being able to see completed projects makes it hard to determine where you are on a project.ย Yes, I can look at what is next, but I miss the grand view, the whole scope when I focus on just what's next.ย Just a thought.
This needs to be addressed ASAP! It is so frustrating and time consuming to manually have to change the filters on all projects. ๐

Hi everyone, thank you for your feedback and use cases! I'm very happy to let you know that our Product team has recently released the fix that does not reset filters and keeps them even if you go outside your folder tree (e.g. to Dashboards or Inbox) ๐ This is thanks to your contribution here ๐Please note that the setting is saved per browser, so if you open Wrike in a different browser, the filter will be reset to "All active" there.ย

Hi Nikhil, thanks for posting.
Right now, you can change the filter, and it will stay that way even if you move away from the Folder/Project you're looking at.
However, if you start a new Wrike session in a new tab or when you restart Wrike, the filter will return to All Active as default.ย
Right now, the above is in action.

Has this really still not been addressed? Wrike team wtf?
Also support this as it is something that is annoying and sometimes we find ourselves looking for tasks or projects that may have documents attached which we want to revisit.ย Would be good to be able to change this as a default and not have it go away each time you close WRIKE or shut down the computer.
Really need default folder filters! From a programming standpoint this should be easy to implement!ย
I implemented Wrike into my company 2 months ago and this is the biggest challenge I am facing on securing great adoption of the tool. I am shocked to see that this query was raised nearly 2 years ago and it's still not been delivered.ย
Any user should be able to set-up their own default set of filters in their settings which should never re-set they should only change if the user changes them.
This has to be table stakes on the product
Stephen, your update from May 2019 is alarming. To borrow Andy English's word, I am shocked that Wrike would consider NOT keeping this request open. This is the #1 thing that slows me down every single time I log in to Wrike.
Filter settings must be persistent and must be set per user, per project, and per folder.ย
Our company is fully committed to Wrike, and we are pulling more and more teams and team members into it. However, none of our team members do their actual work in Wrike. We use it to track and communicate progress, plan timelines, and facilitate transparency. The real work is happening in CAD or Adobe or e-mail or with physical tools and parts. Thus it is common for all of us to log in to Wrike multiple times each day, sometimes on multiple computers throughout the day.
As I'm typing this I've just been inspired to start using Wrike to track how much of our organization's time is spent resetting filters, or searching for something that is obscured by unintuitive default filters.ย

Changing the default filter should be an option. Just add a button under the filters "Set current filter as default" or something like that. Seems like an easy fix that could really help a lot of teams work more efficiently.ย
Hello again, everyone! The team has recently released Wrike Views that consist of Primary and Custom Views. Custom views allow you to create and save multiple views along with view settings, such as filters and sorting, and share them with the team. Custom views can be created with List, Board, Gantt chart and Table views, and they can also be set as default. Could you please let me know if you've tried it out already?ย
