Scheduled Report Delivery

It would be nice to have a option with the Reports engine to schedule reports and designate a group of people both internal and external who you'd like to sent the report to via email.

This would be more of an executive overview type option where these parties would not be users of the Wrike product or even people who want to login but rather those parties "stake holders" that would want to be kept up to date on what is happening without having to talk with the PM's leading the projects.

Hi Michael, thanks for your post 👍

Just in terms of scheduling Reports; this is possible and the person who created can share it with User Groups and individuals (on Business and Enterprise accounts), however, it cannot be shared with people who don't have access to your Wrike account, unless exported.

In this scenario, usually, these stakeholders are giving Collaborator access so they have limited permissions but can review the reports shared with them. Sharing with to non-Wrike users, who don't have Collaborator access, is an interesting point and I can see how this would come in useful in certain cases.

Do you think these stakeholders should receive an email with the Report data? And what file format do you think would be best to use here?

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts 🙂

Thank you Stephen for your reply.   It would be a great feature if Stake holders could receive a report with the data on it, AND NOT an email which directs them to the website.

This way, the stakeholders could share the information with other interested parties that do not have access to Wrike.   So for example

Lets say I report to the CTO, and I need to share the project plan with them (great) make them a collaborator and they have access from there

However,  the report would have to be shared with them, and they  could only see the data via the Wrike website, and could not share that with external parties like Vendors, or perhaps the CEO without given those users access to Wrike as well.

Its not very officiant from that prospective, because I can see where someone would want to simply forward an email with the report in it to another party and share all the hard work the group is working on.

Hi Michael, thank you for the extra details there! We do have Report Snapshots which you can share with people who do not have a Wrike account. Snapshots are static (so they show what the Report as it was at the moment the Snapshot was taken and do not update), but they might be more convenient for you. Would love to hear if those work for you.

Yes to this -- I would like to share snapshots with stakeholders on a scheduled basis. This is a core component of how our reports are used and will eliminate much of the manual work that folks on my end do.

As stated by those above, it would be immensely helpful to be able to send snapshots out to other users or groups on a scheduled basis.

Agreed. I need to be able to send a snapshot to a stakeholder every 2 weeks & I would like to not have to do that manually (this just unnecessarily adds to my own To Do list).
