Project Request form Project Owner autoassignment based on user completing the form
A great feature would be if there was a way to auto assign the project owner to the user who is completing the form (internally)

Hi Juan 👋 Is the person making a Project Request normally the Project owner or do other people sometimes submit Project Requests as well?
I think SJ is requesting something similar to what you're looking for. If he is, could you add a +1 there?
Hi Stephanie
Yes, The person submitting the request is the project owner,
I want to +1 this as well. While external requesters (collaborators or non-users) could default to a standard project owner within our team (as Wrike works now), standard users in the system who are already logged in and use the form could become the project owner automatically. Or this could be based on a answer from the form.
I agree with this request, it would be a huge help for us as well. Even better, it would be great if we could have the option to make a user custom field type to auto-populate the project owner in the intake form. That way, we could have the "Project Owner" field filled in when the internal request form is filled out, but then we could opt out of using that custom field for external facing request forms by having separate folders for each.
Yes! Would love to see this functionality. We're in the same boat as Matt Holmes; for internal users, the requester is typically the project owner. For external users, we have a separate intake process.
We are looking for something similar. We have created a custom form for our clients who have collaborator access. When they complete the form, we'd like it to automatically fill in the data columns in a newly generated project, although the project is being created from our custom form, the data is being listed in the bottom of the project under the data columns but the data columns are left blank. This means we have to go into the project and manually move it from one place to another in the same project, it's a little time consuming. Any ideas how to fix this?

We would also really like this functionality. Pretty frustrating to have to assign each project to the owner who submitted it as so many are submitted that there shouldn't be a person policing the space to ensure its properly assigned. Please let us know if/when this becomes a functionality!
OR even a dropdown option in the request form of who the owner of the project should be based on users within your Wrike Space!
Hello all - I created a workaround for this feature. In my request form, the first question is a dropdown form, and it lists all of the users in my Wrike space. I've populated this list from a custom field, where it's easier to just copy/paste my user list that I exported from my admin page.
Then, I do conditional branching for each answer to "add project owner". It's a tedious process, and will get annoying to fix when new users are added, but it seems to do the trick.
Hi Gretchen Smith, thanks a lot for sharing!
Everyone, I don't have any updates from the team at the moment. Please make sure to +1 the suggestion if you haven't already,

Any updates yet? It's been some time. I'd love to know if this will be possible soon. Or, even better, if I missed something and form submitters can be auto-assigned project owners.
