[Status: Not planned] Board View For Projects
It would be really helpful if I could create a board view on projects. I love the board view for tasks and I am requesting the ability to create a board view for projects. Thanks for considering!

How this has so many comments requesting this feature, and yet this is still 'not planned' despite being a crucial view for product development and multi-project teams...
Please revisit this feature, it's 2024...
Please prioritise a group by project filter on the board view - this is fundamental for any team that handles multiple projects at one time. This is business critical for my consultancy teams work.
The current workarounds are clunky (custom task manipulation to classify as projects) or require many clicks to complete all relevant tasks (use of custom dashboard), whereas a board view with swimlanes per project would majorly enhance the UX.
Here's my user story:
I want to be able to have a board view that has swimlanes per project (Group by Project)
So that I can clearly see my consultancy teams work in progress at a glance, and update task status per project quickly and visually through dragging and dropping.
Hi Ben Keppie, thank you for sharing your detailed feedback and use with us. I understand this improvement could have a very positive impact on your work and I've shared your comment with our Product Team. Please, rest assured that we will keep you updated if there are any changes implemented.
Do I understand correctly that you have already tried New Dashboards?
Juan - You guys keep bringing up New Dashboards.
That. Is. Not. A. Good. Solution.
What people are asking for are moveable Kanaban boards for projects (not just tasks). That's it. Very rudimentary asks from an experience project manager's perspective.
Hello Michael Farr, thank you for your comment. I understand this is not exactly what you're looking for, however, I mentioned the option so other users can consider it as an alternative to the original request.
We will keep you updated in case there are any changes 👍 If you have any additional questions, please let us know.
The lack of this functionality is affecting our ability to drive user adoption. Please create functionality for Kanban views of projects.
How is this still not planned almost 200 votes later?! Super disappointing.
I see a lot of comments about not having the feature really inhibiting teams' ability to manage their work effectively. I wonder if any of those users have tried any of the work around options using dashboards... maybe if we direct the conversation here to why the workarounds are ineffective, we can justify the development team giving the request more attention.
That being said, I'm still patiently waiting for the feature add as I still see the value :)
Hi folks! It's a good idea to continue sharing your use cases and voting here for sure as we pass all your feedback to the team at Wrike responsible for Board view, as well as the vote count. Any changes here in the future, we'll be sure to let you know 👍

In my case, I want to be able to use the board view to show my "punch list" or to-do list. If i could filter by project, I would than have a list of all the tasks left on this project. The use case for me would be when we have a job basically wrapped up, but there is just a few small outstanding items that need to happen.
This feature to view projects (not just tasks) on a Kanban style board is still sorely needed...keeping this discussion active.
This is needed badly by our team as well. We had to manually build our entire system using custom item types(tasks), and build these with automations in order to make the system operate in this way. If we had access to view the projects in board view, this would have eliminated the need for the manual build, custom automations and custom reporting to see the information we need to see.
Thank you for sharing your feedback and use cases, we continue passing all your comments on to our Product Team 👍
To add to everyone else's comments here, this would a be a huge help for our organization as well.
We are approaching 90+ users/collaborators as we expand the platform to other business units and locations, with 100's of projects.
Being able to see those "swim-lanes" for projects and their status would be incredibly useful from a visual management perspective.
While we've since transitioned away from Microsoft Project Planner due to a variety of reasons, their board view was excellent and still not something we can replicate on Wrike.
Example Microsoft Project Planner Board View:

Throwing my two cents into the pit of this discussion! Our team just started using Wrike, and one of the things we're tracking is Video projects; it would be so, so helpful to have a Kanban Board View that clearly shows the status of each of those projects in the production process. I've already created a separate Workflow for them, and I've done the sad Dashboard Fakeban, but it's just not the same. Please reconsider making Projects Kanbanable! (And thanks to the Wrike Team Members who have handled this thread with a great deal of decorum!)

Hi all,
any updates on this feature?
We are about to make to 2 years of using wrike in our company. As we have been more proficient we have changed from multiple subtasks and standard workflow to even using custom workflows in project items. A Board view where we can present those multiple projects in a kanban way would greatly improve our way to communicate, report and prioritize to C-Levels the multiple projects our product development team has

We really need this. Currently, we had to create a custom item called "Project" and use it, because for the team in general, it’s much easier to visualize and manage projects in the Kanban format. We miss the benefits that come with the project, such as project progress, which we don’t have in tasks/custom items.
Thank you so much for your support and upvote, Douglas Sá! 👍🏽

This feature is still sorely needed in 2026. It's disappointing to see that this feature was requested nearly a decade ago with hundreds of users indicating that their businesses need it for their work flow and it's apparently still not even being considered by the developers. When you have a team that works on multiple projects simultaneously, a board view which just shows all the individual subitems from each project jumbled together is completely useless.
Agree with Eli. The only way we've found to overcome this is to build a completely custom dashboard. It works really well. But man was it a bear to put together. Wrike should have a solution out of the box for this very common use case.
We've been using Wrike for around 3 years as a business. During that time, we've set up custom fields, workflows, forms, blueprints, and even utilized Wrike Integrate. Our userbase has grown from around 10 to over 100 in that time.
This is still by far the most important feature to us that's missing. Based on the comments and votes on this topic, many in the community feel the same way. Not having this feature after years of customer requests is a miss on Wrike's part unfortunately.
If anyone on the Wrike team sees this, please emphasize the importance of this request to Product Management.
Thank you.
