We areย currently logging our staff holidays inย Wrike.
The system is great, apart from one thing ย - we are unable to log half days! I understand from your support team that logging half days is not a feature, do you think this can be changed?

Want to add in that our company would find a lot of value in more flexibility on the calendar exceptions whether it's half days or by # of hours. We have an unlimited PTO policy and allow employees to utilize 'Flex Friday's' so would love to be able to accurately use the Resourcing views in Wrike for planning our work as well as being able to continue optimizing our reporting

I just wanted to add my support to this suggestion - I work in a team that is using Wrike for the first time and it is being employed to replace a number of tracking processes we previously maintained. To be able to indicate morning/afternoon leave (at a minimum) for an individual would be very useful and would mean that we could potentially eliminate our separate leave tracking file. However, right now that isn't possible with only full days being flagged.

Here to add to the requests for being able to log half days, or better yet, specific hours of PTO in Wrike. After using the tool for just over a year, this lack of functionality is still one of the most frequent complaints I hear from our team. We also have an unlimited PTO policy and allow employees to utilize Flex Fridays. Not being able to accurately capture this time off in Wrike skews our resourcing and utilization reporting.ย

We could really use this feature.ย Many different departments are asking why Wrike does not offer this common feature.ย Half-day should have been added to the platform by now especially since Wrike is used by many for Time/Resource tracking.ย We have asked several times about this.ย Please push this forward we would appreciate this.
We'd love the ability to add half days (or hours) to the calendar schedule as well. I was trying to do this today and was rather shocked it wasn't a thing already.ย
Looking way back, this feature request was started more than 7 years ago. Based on the responses to this thread, it seems like a popular one too. Will we ever see this implemented? It seems doubtful.ย
Hi Byron Gill Scott Oakley, thank you for your comments. Although at the moment we don't have updates about this suggestion, would you please confirm if the following workaround would be of help to you?
You can create an OOO task for the relevant person and specify hours off as effort. This way, the hours will be reflected in the workload chart and will be visible even if the task belongs to another space.
Additionally, theย ย User Custom Fields labs feature introduces another improvement: in the assignee picker, users are highlighted as Unavailable if a task doesn't fit the user's availability. This parameter is calculated based on work schedules and already assigned work, so if you've created a half-day OOO task, it'll also affect the assignee picker if this Labs feature is enabled.
Our team would really appreciate this feature as well. Recording partial days off with tasks rather than PTO makes our billable time highly inaccurate. Thanks!

Just reiterating that this 1/2 day capability would be extremely helpful to have in work schedules and work load view
It's definitely frustrating that this was first suggested in 2017 (!!) and has 168 upvotes, yet is still not a feature.ย

Piling onto this thread to help drive the need for this feature enhancement. It's simply not realistic that employees only take full day PTO. It's very common in my case that my team members will take a partial day off for a variety of reasons, so I'm faced with the decision to remove the entire day from their capacity or none of it. Both are the wrong answer and in either case diminish the accuracy of any reporting that hinges on team capacity being tracked accurately. I would invite anyone from the Community or Product teams at Wrike to contact me if you would like specific use cases to assist in prioritizing this change.

Hello, since this topic has been placed on the backburner list, can we know why the Product team is not considering this feature, that seems easy to implement ? As far I can see, many of yours customers are looking for this feature.
I agree, this feature would make life so much easier! We currently have to track our utilization using an external sheet due to this issue. Please consider adding it. Thanks!
It has been almost a year since my initial comment, and we still require this feature. Our requirements remain unchanged, and workarounds only provide temporary solutions. Since the original post in 2017, numerous other items have been added. This feature is important for all your customers.
