Overview

Tableau is a Business Intelligence solution that allows you to analyze and visualize your data. With Tableau connector, you can automatically pull data from your Wrike account into Tableau.

Configure automatic refresh of data to Tableau Online

Step 1: Obtain the OAuth Token

  1. Log in to your Wrike account.

  2. Click your profile picture 1 in the sidebar.

  3. Select Apps & Integrations. 2

  4. Switch to the API tab. 3

  5. Enter an app’s name 4 (suggested name: Tableau Connector).

  6. Click Create new 5.

  7. (Optional) Add an app description. 6

  8. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Create token 7 under the Permanent access token section.

  9. A window will open. Enter your password and click Obtain token. 8

  10. You will then see the token under the Permanent access token section. Click Copy token 9 and save it somewhere secure. You’ll need to enter this token in Tableau Bridge as explained below.

  11. Click Save. 10

Step 2: Configure automatic refresh in Tableau Bridge

  1. Install Tableau Bridge version 2019.1 or later.

  2. Configure the data source to be refreshed via Tableau Bridge.

  3. When prompted for credentials:

    • Username: Enter the email address that you use to log in to Wrike.
