AI Agents - Slack Notifications and Importance Field Support
Available on Business and higher plans
AI Agents can now send notifications outside of Wrike and update task importance automatically based on your instructions.
What's new?
- Slack Notifications Are Live: Agents can post messages to Slack channels as an action. Authenticate your workspace once and select a channel. The agent will post automatic messages with work item context and links.
Note: You must set up one separate action for each individual channel. Thread replies and user @mentions are currently not supported. Delivery status is saved in the activity log.
- Importance Field Support: AI agents can now read and update the native Importance field. They analyze task content and current values to change Importance directly to High, Normal, or Low.
Cascading Field Values - Keep Field Values Consistent Across Items
Available on Business plans and above
Cascading Field Values allow field values set on a parent item to automatically cascade down to all subitems with a single click, ensuring data consistency across every level.
What's new?
- Supported Fields: Cascade Single Select, Multi Select, Text, Checkbox, People, Date, Link to Database, and Importance fields.
- Flexible Usage: Enable cascading in Table view, Work Item view, Blueprints, and Request Forms with flexible overrides and easy re-sync options.
- Automatic Inheritance: New subitems inherit the parent’s cascaded values automatically, with cascading updates on item moves and multi-parent support.

Available on Business and higher plans
Wrike Request Forms have received multiple updates designed to streamline work intake, simplify link sharing, and automate data flow into sub-items.
What's new?
-
Short, Readable Public URLs: Public Request Form links are now shortened by default for easier sharing. Form administrators can also append an optional human-readable suffix to customize the end of the URL for a cleaner, more professional appearance.
- Auto-Cascading Responses: Form responses including item names, descriptions, and custom field values now automatically flow down into subtasks, subitems, and subprojects created by the form, preserving campaign-level context.
-
Multiple Follow-Up Questions: Form builders can now attach multiple follow-up questions per option across Single-select, Multiple-select, and Importance question types.
- Request Forms Prefill API: A new Forms API capability enables programmatic generation of pre-filled request form links at scale. External systems, AI agents, or scripts can pass known data into a form and generate a ready-to-open link with fields already populated, eliminating manual data entry.
