Resolve Error: "You have reached the file storage limit for your account"
Overview
Every Wrike account comes with a certain amount of storage space that is granted based on the size of the account and subscription plan. The storage space is used up by the files that are uploaded and stored in Wrike. The size of all the files uploaded to the account can not exceed the available storage limit.
Situation
When attempting to upload a file into Wrike, a message pops up: "You have reached the file storage limit for your account". This means that the account storage is full, and no more files can be uploaded unless the storage is cleared or extended. See the options below to learn how you can resolve this situation.
Check the available storage space
The account owner has access to the subscription and storage space information in the Account management settings under the Subscription tab. If you see the error pop up but do not have access to the Subscription tab, ask the account owner to check the available storage space.
Get more storage space
- Clear storage by deleting old files. Use the Files view to find and sort large, outdated files for easy removal.
- Check the Recycle Bin for items with attachments. The files attached to deleted items continue to use storage until you permanently remove them from the Bin.
Note
Only account admins can permanently delete the items from the Recycle Bin.
Available storage space info updates approximately one hour after the file deletion. - Save space by attaching files from supported cloud storage apps instead of uploading them from your computer. Files attached from any integrated cloud storage app do not occupy Wrike account storage space because they remain in the cloud.
- Increase your storage space by purchasing extra seats or extra storage. Reach out to your Account Manager to get assistance.
