To receive recommendations in the assignee picker, ensure that custom field values are populated in both user profiles and work items. Wrike utilizes these fields to suggest the best assignee by matching attributes and checking availability. This process helps in identifying the most suitable team member for the task efficiently.
Note
Even if some fields aren’t visible in your current view, they may be included in assignee recommendations. Assignee recommendations are based on matching custom field values in user profiles and in work items. Field values must be filled in both places for recommendations to work.
The assignee picker helps you identify the right person for your task by showing availability and matching requirements. Tooltips provide helpful tips such as:

Unavailable: Displays an "unavailable" label for individuals with no current capacity due to active tasks, assigned bookings, public holidays, or scheduled time off.

Matching Requirements: Wrike's assignee picker prioritizes potential assignees by ranking them based on how well they meet task-specific criteria, including job roles and custom fields in user profiles. The most relevant individuals, those with the highest number of matching attributes, are automatically placed at the top of the list.
The icon next to each user's name indicates how well they meet the requirements:

Green icon: All requirements are met.

Gray icon: Some requirements are met.

No icon: Either no requirements are met, or the requirements are not set.
Hovering over an icon provides detailed information about what matches and what doesn’t.

Access to recommendations in the Assignee Picker is governed by permissions. Without the view custom fields for other users permission, recommendations will not be visible, even if they are added to work items and user profiles.
Note
Recommendations in the Assignee Picker work the same way across the entire workspace, including Item view, Table view, and Gantt Chart. You can also get assignee recommendations in Workload Charts.
