Access Roles in Wrike
|
Availability: Legacy Business, Legacy Enterprise.; Unavailability: Legacy Free, Legacy Professional.; |
|
Availability: Business, Pinnacle, Apex. ; Unavailability: Free, Team; |
Use access roles to control what users (or user groups) can do within a shared folder, project, or space.
There are four access roles to choose from: Full, Editor, Limited, or Read Only, and each role has a set of permissions. Legacy Enterprise, Pinnacle and Apex account admins can customize the permissions for certain roles and can create new roles.
Note
Access roles cannot be applied to users in relation to tasks, meaning that you can't select a specific access role for a user when sharing a task with them. They will have the same access role to the task as they have to the parent folder or project. If a user has different access roles via multiple parent items that include the same subitem (for example, a space and a project both containing the same task), the user will receive the higher access role for that subitem.
-
There must always be at least one person with the right to share a folder/project.
-
You can't change your own access role, even if there are other users who have full access to a folder, project, or space.
-
Permissions granted by an access role can’t exceed the rights granted by a license type, e.g., collaborators can’t create tasks even if they're granted full access to a folder or project.
-
You can't adjust permissions for the Read Only role.
-
Legacy Enterprise, Pinnacle and Apex accounts can have up to 10 access roles.
Below is the default list of available access role permissions. Admins on Legacy Enterprise, Pinnacle and Apex accounts can customize these settings, and therefore, the list of permissions for each role can be different.
Note
* Only available with Legacy Enterprise, Pinnacle and Apex plans.
** Only available with Pinnacle plan.
