Overview

Wrike's desktop app is available on Windows and Mac for all users (including Collaborators, Contributors, and Viewers).

The desktop app allows you to use Wrike without a browser.

Note

A Wrike account is required before you can download the desktop app. Once you are logged into your Wrike account, the app can be downloaded from your workspace.

Install the desktop app

  • The Desktop App can be downloaded right from the corresponding Apps and integrations card. To find the card:

    • Click your profile picture 1 from the sidebar.

    • Select Apps & Integrations 2.

    • Open the Wrike for Windows and Mac card.

    • Click Download.

    The file is downloaded to your computer, and you can follow the prompts to finish installing the app.

Note

Installation on Windows

When installed for all PC users, the app will be added to this location: C:\Program Files\Wrike.com\.

When installed for the current user, the app will be added to this location: C:\Users\user_name\AppData\Local\Apps\Wrike.com\.

The default location mentioned above can be changed during the installation process.

Installation on Mac

Wrike for Mac up to 4.3.1 is installed to the root folder /Applications.

Wrike for Mac starting 4.4.0 (Jul 9, 2024) is installed to the home user directory: /Users/<user_name>/Applications and the auto-update process does not require you to enter an admin password.

Installing the desktop app for all users

Desktop app .msi may be installed using Windows Group Policies (available on Professional, Ultimate, and Enterprise versions of Windows). System administrators can follow the process detailed here to install and subsequently update the desktop app for all users.
