Add a comment

  2. Click the file you want to comment on (from the attachments section).

  3. Select one of the proofing markers under the attachment (you can choose the comment, arrow, box, or pen icon). A text highlight option also appears if you're commenting on a PDF or Office file. 1

  4. Select a proofing color. 2 This color is used for proofing marks on the attachment and correlates with the comment color as well.

  5. Click the attachment (where you'd like the marker to appear).

  6. Type a comment.

  7. Apply formatting settings or add emojis (optional). 3

From Task view, Files view, and the File Dashboard widget, a blue counter over the attachment image displays the number of unresolved comments associated with the attachment.

Tip

You can select how to sort comments in the proofing window. By default, they're sorted by date, but you can select to sort them by users. Also, you can sort comments by timestamp (for videos) and by page (for documents).
