I am very happy that Convert Tasks and Projects to Custom Item Types is now possible. I just wondered today if I had to remake all tasks, this helps a lot! Tnx
Hi everyone,
Good job to the team, promising release.
However: can we block Space Admin to create new workflow?
Indeed, while it's a promising feature, at short term, this is causing very much trouble in user onboarding and will damage all our dashboards, reports and calendar that are based on specific status.
Indeed, as workflows are entities on their own, and are not gathering existing "status entities" - it generates as much new statuses than new worklow. This makes more damage and usability issues on our side, than providing new solution. I have shared a feature request in the past and do understand it might not be your priority for now. But at least, we must ensure the new release is not causing us more issue for more.
thanks in advance

Precision: current master risk is we do not monitor 100% of due job.
As-Is :
We have a report that is based on monitoring a status 1.2 "in progress". We ensure all tasks that are "in progress" are reported.
To-Be:
4 Spaces Admin created 4 specific workflows for their respective area
New Workflow 2.1 contains a status 2.1.2 - "In progress"
New Workflow 2.2 contains a status 2.2.2 - "In progress"
New Workflow 2.3 contains a status 2.3.2 - "solution in progress" and 2.3.3 "release in progress"
New Workflow 2.4 contains a status 2.4.2 - "design in progress" and 2.4.3 - "translation In progress" andย
We have now 7 different statuses corresponding to an in progress state and at least 3 ducplicates for "in progress". We are 100% the reports won't report all corresponding items.
thanks for caring about this for the future development, and in between ensuring we can chose to not open the feature.
Julien
PS: solution: 1. Admin settings maintain a catalogue of "status" 2. the Workflow settings enable or disable the status entity from the catalogue of status
Thanks a lot for your feedback, folks ๐
Julien Thiery I've just passed your feedback to our internal team, along with your use case, thanks a lot for sharing!ย
