Fast new project creation by import from XL project basic, then selecting a blueprint in Wrike
I find creating a new project cumbersome with only 2 not good enough solution, this is a context with a lot of new projects each year (4,000) and a dozen custom fields:
- XL import works BUT
> formulas need to be added to populate the folder name, the project name and the assignees' emails while entering this info only once. But then copy value must be applied to the whole file content as formulas are not accepted in an import file
> Custom fields are imported but to be visible and usable they need to be added 1 by 1 in the table view
With high volumes of projects, this is not efficient
- Blueprints; blueprints are cool BUT
> custom fields are to be updated manually (it matters if you have a dozen customs fields with a lot of different values for each field)
> assignees have to be added (it is possible to have 1 blueprint for each scenario and each team but in our case we would end up with at least 100 blueprints which is not manageable
What would be great is the following
- being able to put in a XL template the project info (folder, name, start date and custom fields values
- then import it into Wrike
- and select a blueprint
+ a solution would have to be found for the assignees: ideally we could create a list of teams with people having different tittles and the titles matching the tasks. It would work for us

We need this feature. I have hundreds of projects that need to be loaded with the same blueprint. Doing it one at a time is not an option.
Thank you for sharing your interest in this, Richard Herzog! I've passed this on to the Product team.
Has this issue been resolved?
