I want to add a new task to a specified folder.

As tasks increase, it is troublesome to move tasks to the desired location or folder each time you add a task.
Is there a function to create a new task in the specified position or folder?

When creating a new task by clicking on the green plus sign a new task line opens up in the middle pane and you are asked to enter the task name.  Once done, the task exists and should be the top task shown.  Once done, open the task to put in the  rest of the details. This should open the task within the right pane.

There you can enter the other details of the task, including folder tags.

When you click on this you will be able to start typing any word that you want to search for the folder or project you desire this newly created task to go.  Once you fill in the other details of, assignee, date, add files, or description will all update in real time and the task is being updated as you enter these things. Once you click out of that task you should be able to find it in the folder that you put it in.

Hope that helps.

Hi Tatiana, are you simply creating the task in the Folder within Wrike, or is it generated from a Request form?

If you want to add a task to a Folder, you can open the Folder in your Folder tree on the right hand side. You'll then see add task below it. See the Gif below.

Alternatively, if you've created a task you can tag a Folder to it so it exists in that folder.

If you're talking about adding Request form tasks to Folders then we go into detail on that too, let me know 👍
