Export Wrike Analyze Reports

It would be of great use if users were able to Export reports in Wrike Analyze as PDFs. I know that we can use Export (which is fine for other Wrike users to view the reports and use dynamic content). And we also can export for Public View. However, the Public View generates effectively a screen shot with little functionality other than Zoom in to view the data.

PDFs would be a good asset for non wrike users (similarly to the gantt chart Export as PDF tool.

Thanks,

Andrew

But wouldn't a PDF basically be the same as the Public view.  A PDF is not going to be dynamic.

It would be the same as the public view but in a more readable / user friendly format rather than an image screenshot of your report. It would be more presentable for the end user, particularly if you have a long report and could allow printing options if required. Equally, it may be that historical reports may need to be kept for auditing purposes (Public Sector).

It would be really helpful to be able to share a link to the dynamic board to users outside Wrike. We have teams that are not in Wrike (and don't need to be) and we really need to be able to share the dynamic version with them.

Andrew McCrory, We do this all the time with our Wrike Analyze reports. There is an export function in the three dot menu and we then do Ctrl-P (Print) and save as a PDF. We have also utilized a Chrome add-on to do a print of the whole analyze report so we can eliminate page breaks. The add-on we use is called GoFullPage. There is a setting in GoFullPage to create a PDF without page breaks.

Kevin Thalacker that is really helpful, thanks. We will give that a try in the meantime - especially for the page break element. Thanks again.

An additional point on our end is it would be nice to go to a report and have something similar to a full-screen or "presentation" type view. Sharing our screen during meetings to show reports still shows the fiters and options on the right, as well as all of the things on our taskbar to the left.

When using the export link to accomplish the same type of thing, the entire board gets oriented into a more narrow "portrait" style view.

I would suggest not only PDF but also a sharable link which third party clients can use or internal team can use would be great.

Hi, it would be much appreciated if Wrike could spend some time on this.  The Export option is functionally useless as things stand.  The option to export to a PDF is sorely needed.

Hi Phil Taylor, thank you for your comment. May I please kindly ask you to share a bit more details about your use case? This will help us understand how this option will impact your work, and, potentially, provide you with a workaround - if applicable.

Thank you!

Hi @...

Thanks for your response.

We have users that need to see reports from Wrike but don't have Wrike accounts themselves.  We have built some relatively complex reports with multiple widgets, and so although an export to PDF function exists, this is per-widget only and therefore isn't particularly useful.  Currently I'm having to take screenshots, but these can prove difficult if the reports show more than can be shown in a single screen.  An option to export to the entire report to PDF would be invaluable for us.

Thanks,

Phil

Hi Phil Taylor, thank you for your reply. As I understand that the available option to export analytic boards does not cover your needs, may I ask if creating New Dashboards instead would be an option for you? The reason I'm mentioning this option is that you can share these widgets with colleagues outside Wrike using public links.

Is there a possibility that the PDF export / save to PDF feature for Analyze will be built? If I print and select "save to PDF", it cuts my graphs in half, based on page breaks etc. We have a vendor managing a very large project of ours, outside of Wrike and they are providing us with basic basic reports, attached to a mail and this is the type of functionality that I can't replicate. We are using New Dashboards already but it is still limited. We are running and presenting large projects and programs to C-suite executives and we are doing them outside of Wrike, manually in PPT which is not idea as we can't scale company wide.

Hi @..., apologies for the delay in getting back to you.  No, dashboards aren't an option for us.  We pay for Wrike Analyze due to the many and varied ways we need to interpret the data contained within Wrike.  Dashboards are far too limited in the data that they expose.

Hi Irene Snyman, thanks for adding your voice to this.  Your use case is exactly my use case too, and the inability of Wrike Analyze to export data in a functional manner is incredibly frustrating.  It feels like such a basic thing to be getting wrong.

100% Phil Taylor, we actually have a vendor working with us now and they are sending basic reports on a large project. Our CIO just asked me if we can produce something similar and as it stands, we can build something in Analyze but I can't do anything with it. Our Exec team want to see it in a mail as an attachment and in PPT presentations during steering committee meetings.

Irene Snyman - same here :)  I'm having to resort to screenshotting the reports, which is a gigantic pain in the bum when they span multiple pages...

@... we are using the new dashboards but you still can't export the entire dashboard (can share a link though). So you can export certain widgets only and one at a time.

One of my colleagues suggested that you allow users to export to PDF/PPT from a Dashboard and then during the export phase, allow them to select which widgets from the dashboard they actually want added to the export.

Irene, we are already working on exporting new dashboards to PDF and this functionality will be released relatively soon

Hi Vladimir Bugay, are you working on similar functionality for Wrike Analyze boards too?

0
👍 Spot On 💡 Innovative Approach 💪 Stellar Advice ✅ Solved 🪄 Remove Kudos

Phil Taylor Irene Snyman We have the exact same issues with our analyze boards. The ways they can visualize data is excellent, but there is a real problem with Wrike not allowing you to export these boards into a single clean pdf for routine metrics presentations to management. I really hope this is something the Wrike team can implement soon. It seems to be a low-hanging fruit as far effort to implement and would be a huge help to all of us out here using the Analyze board functionalities.

Kevin Thalacker This is very solid workaround in the meantime. I did notice that when using the "GoFullPage" add-on that one of our pie graphs in the analyze board I am capturing attempts to re-load during the screen capture and the pdf generated shows that particular widget "half-loaded". Not a huge deal though and definitely the easiest way to capture full analyze boards in one go until Wrike creates this functionality internally.

Hey folks, you've already noticed that our Product team is aware of this feedback, but this is not on the roadmap for Wrike Analyze currently. However, as Vladimir mentioned above, it's planned for New Dashboards.

Lisa That's a massive shame.  New Dashboards are incredibly limited in their functionality versus what WA offers, hence the reason we pay for WA.  To exclude this basic feature from a paid add-on feels like a massive let down.
