Keep List View

List view is the preferred view at my current company and previous company. It's just easier to see all of the items in a folder, project, or task in list view. PLEASE DON'T remove this view from Wrike.

Hi Kamilla Martini, welcome to the Community! Thank you for bringing this to us. May I kindly ask you to elaborate on the reasons why the New Table View has not become an option for you and your team? Do you consider that this view does not meet your needs? If so, please let us know what functionality you consider is missing.

When making a quick comparison, the views look quite similar:

List View:

New Table View:

However, the New Table View is considerably more powerful, since it combines the functionalities of the List View and the ones of the Old Table View. For example, you can see more details about your tasks than in the List View by adjusting the displayed columns:

Looking forward to your reply!

Hi Juan, we simply find it harder given we're all so used to working in list view. I also find the #'ing on the left side confusing, is that in a specific order? Also, when first entering list view it shows everything in an expanded format so you have to take the extra step of collapsing all of the subtasks/task to get a clean initial look.

Hello Kamilla Martini, thank you for your reply, I understand that changes require some effort; in this case, the layout has been redesigned to enhance its performance and also to provide you with more options to customize it, according to your needs.

The sorting logic - that you mention in your comment - is a good example of this: you can use any column to sort your items both in ascending and descending order. For instance, you can sort by priority, name, dates, assignees or any other value, including custom fields. You can find more information about sorting in the New Table View here

About the collapsing options, it is true that one extra click is necessary to achieve your desired view. At the same time, with one simple click, you can see more (or less) data, depending on your preference, which allows you to both continue accessing your work as you were used to but also provides you with new alternatives. If you'd like to know a bit more about this functionality, please feel free to check this text.

If you have any additional questions, I'll be happy to help!

Hi Juan, thanks for the extra info. Where's the mass edit option in the New Table View?

Hi Kamilla Martini, I'm just jumping in for Juan 🙂

Hover over the left side of you item's title in the New Table view - you'll be able to select an item, and the mass actions panel will appear:

Hi Lisa, thanks for the info. Also, where is the feature from the old table view to update the progress of multiple projects? https://help.wrike.com/hc/en-us/articles/360010428113-Project-Progress. I can't find it in the new table view.

Lisa / @... - Following are a couple of other examples as to why List view is still a useful view for our team:

1). Adding items to new Table view: Users have to scroll all the way to the bottom of the list.  This is at the top in List view.

2). Moving Tasks around in table view: Dragging and dropping tasks in table view has always been more challenging than List view.  It is much more likely to accidently move a task to the wrong location in this view.  I don't know why List view is easier, but it is! :)

Thanks Lisa! I agree with Michael's points as well. It'd be great if those improvements could be implemented in the new table view as well.

Having worked with the new table view for a couple of weeks now, I can only say: Please do not remove list view.

The loading times are a huge issue and slowing down extremely, if this view is replacing list view, this will be causing damages with no work around. As I undestand from my last ticket about this, table view is not designed for the snappy responsiveness of list view and will always come with loading times.

List view is the basic work view for most Wrike users. If Table view does not compete in speed and ease of use, New Table View is no suitable alterantive for list view.

So again, I can just bump this thread up: Please, do not remove list view!

Agree with Ralph!!! Also, when is mass editing going to be available in table view?

We create Dashboard widgets with filters and show users how to click the ellipses menu and "open in list view" where they can further filter/sort or use mass edit.  Most common example is the "Task List Dashboard" where the Team Dashboard has a Widget for each person on the team that shows what is Active and Assigned to them across all of Wrike.  It basically shows the person's My To-Do list so that a Manager can see everyone's to-do list in one view.  They use it with one-on-ones or team meetings and it helps to cut down on "overdue" tasks because they're so visible.  When a team member leaves the company it's quick to re-assign all their work where the Manager can "open in List View" and mass edit to re-assign.  It's easier than the "transfer resources" function that Wrike provides when deleting users.  Just wanted to provide another example of why we love list view and how we use it.

Hi folks, thank you for your feedback here!

Kamilla Martini Mass actions are available in the New Table view already! Please try hovering over to the left of the item's title, click on the box, and you'll see the available options:

Meredith Selden Our team knows about this use case and is planning to address it 🙂

The list view remains available for now, we'll let you know when we have an update on its future availability. And please rest assured we'll be working together to make sure the transition works for you.

Hi Lisa, you mentioned that list view remains available, can you please explain how to to access it? I can't seem to find it.

People use Wrike in a variety of ways and for a variety of purposes. For that reason, I think allowing more view options not fewer would be a better approach. Although I understand that the new table view can be customized to look similar to the list view, it requires more effort and is still not as simple and clean in appearance as the List View. Also, I would prefer to have the option of using the classic table view (having the item view merged with the new table view is too cluttered at times and I would prefer the option of a simpler/cleaner table view). Let the users decide what works best for them.

Lisa - Mass editing in the table view is missing the 'select all' button. Also, why isn't there a way to mass update the progress of projects?

Getting rid of list view is a HUGE disruption to our organization and I really hope you consider keeping it/bringing it back. I understand that the New Table view is supposed to be the next best thing but I do not agree that this view looks similar to the table view. This still looks like an excel spreadsheet and some individuals just do not work well with a spreadsheet view. Even with the updates to the New Table view compared to the old there are things that take extra clicks and take more time. Please consider making this change.

Our team are frequent users of the list view and find it easier for navigation at a high level instead of loading records on table view. Please keep it!

The New Table View takes more clicks to use and overall takes longer to get work done than the old table view. At the very least, I hope that efficiencies will be made to the New Table View to eliminate the slower processing time and the unnecessary clicks that slow users down. I agree with others that New Table View is not a one-size-fits-all solution. For me, the New Table View is overwhelming at first glance. List view provides a cleaner view with several use cases. Clearly there are teams that love and use it! I hope Wrike considers keeping it!

List view is the preferred view at my company. It's just easier to see all of the items in a folder, project, or task in list view. PLEASE DON'T remove this view from Wrike!! We work out of this view every single day and would hate to see it gone, it would be such a big disruption to remove this view. The mass editing feature is used very often to assign out tasks + date and it is difficult to do this seamlessly in new table view.

Posting to reinforce: PLEASE KEEP THE LIST VIEW.

We've tried using the new Table View and it makes our work much harder. The List View is perfect for us and we cannot part with it.

Lisa Thank you for the welcome. I'm sure the team has worked hard to develop the new Table View, but it is still a Table View, it is not an improved List View. The 'improved' Table View just does not include the flexibility, simplicity, and clean layout of the List View. Perhaps it's basic but that's exactly what we need to keep our brains clear. The List View is what we'd like to have.

Lisa 100% agreement with Katrina Wong. It's also similar to the feedback I get from my coworkers about list view/table view.
