Timesheets prefill hours from previous week

Hi there,

As a Professional Services team, timesheets are a critical part of our business. While entering time in Wrike is fairly easy, is it possible to add functionality to the prefill to include the previous week's hours?

This is functionality available in other tools and would be helpful to have as an option similar to prefilling the tasks from the previous week.

Thanks!

Hi Colleen Hoetjes, thank you for sharing your ideas with the Community! As stated in our Help Center:

By default, Wrike automatically prefills your timesheets to display:
  1. Active tasks assigned to you and scheduled for the selected week (or any day within the week).
  2. All tasks in which you’ve tracked time during the selected week (including completed, deferred, and canceled tasks). You can also manually add tasks to a timesheet.
Having said that, you should be able to select tasks of the previous week to be displayed in your Timesheet. May I please kindly ask you to elaborate a bit more on your use case so we can better understand your goal? Thank you!

Hello @... - as I indicated above, I am looking to prefill the hours. I'm already prefilling the tasks themselves, it's the actual hours I'm looking for.

For example,

I have a PS Consultant 100% dedicated to a specific customer. Their time each week is tagged to the same 3 tasks over and over. To save time, can the hours prefill from the week before into those three tasks?

Hi Colleen Hoetjes, thank you for the clarification! When you select the week and the user to whom the tasks have been assigned, the tasks should be prefilled in the Timesheet:

@... - YES THE TASKS PREFILL as I have stated twice. The hours for the tasks do NOT. It's not the TASKS I'm looking for, it's the HOURS entered for that task.

I'm looking to prefill not just tasks but the hours entered for that task the previous week. Mavenlink does this as an option. For example, if this is what I entered in week 1, I want this to appear for week 2 with TASKS and HOURS.

Week 1:

Task A - 5 hours

Task B - 10 hours

Task C - 12 hours

Hi Colleen Hoetjes, if the time entries correspond to the relevant week (in this case, the 'previous week'), they should be prefilled along with the tasks. The time entries will appear in the Timesheet if:

  • They were added during the week you are selecting.
  • In case the task is scheduled during the relevant week but you added the time entries during a timeframe outside those dates, you can use the Timelog View to change the date of the inputted data so it fits in the corresponding week.

In case you encounter any technical difficulties, please feel free to open a ticket with our Support Team so one of our agents can further assist you with your case.

Thank you!
