Email Notifications

My email notification setting isn't working. I set up all checks on items I need a notification for but I am still not receiving the email.

Hi Janelle! It looks like you have all types of email notifications enabled in your profile settings, and there have been several Daily To-Do emails sent to you from Wrike. When all email notifications are turned on, but you don't receive emails apart from the Daily To-Do, this means that there have been no actions triggering the notifications. Here's a list of these actions:

  • For tasks assigned or created by you: changes to the task description, dates, assignee, status, attachments, location of the task, new comments.
  • For tasks you follow: changes to the task description, dates, assignee, status, attachments, location of the task, new comments.

These actions trigger email notifications if they were made by another user. If you made the changes, no email is sent (for example, if you @mention yourself on a task, there will be no email).

Please let me know if there are tasks corresponding to these criteria, I'll be happy to look into this further!

Hi Ritika, thank you for reaching out! It looks like the emails aren't being sent because this notification option isn't enabled, and I've opened up a ticket so our Support Team could assist with setting everything up as needed :)

I'm having an issue with receiving notifications from customer request forms.  Currently, I'm having to check their folders periodically to see if they have submitted anything to me.

Hi Aline, thank you for the question! Notifications about Request Forms come in when you're following the Folder with incoming Requests. To start following all tasks in a Folder:

  1. Open the Folder/Project.
  2. Click on the clipboard icon at the top right of the task list to open the Folder/Project info panel.
  3. In the panel which opens on the right side of the screen, click the following icon and choose "All tasks".

In case you're interested, I wanted to share another Community discussion about who receives these updates: Request Form - Notifications on both ends. Happy to answer any other questions about this! :)

Hmmm we're having same issue with not receiving email notifications. We've selected our preferences in the "Email Address" setting and still no emails. Do we have to "share" a project with everyone in order for any of them to receive email notifications?

Hi Sherri, it looks like you've customized your email settings so that you only receive some emails (that's great!). You're right there are a couple different things that need to happen in order for an email to be sent out:

  1. The Task, Folder, or Project where a change is made needs to be shared with you.
  2. A change has to be made and you have to have email notifications turned on for that type of change.

It looks like the system has been sending email notifications for your personal account. If you (or others) aren't getting emails and you think you should be based on the two conditions above, could you let me know and I can start a support ticket so that we can see what's going on?

I'm also not receiving email notifications anymore. I checked my folder settings and I'm set up to follow the shared folder correctly and I'm no longer receiving daily digest even though I've "opted" into this option in my account settings.

Hi Carisa, thanks for reaching out here! I checked your profile settings, and can see that several emails are sent to you daily from Wrike. Just to make sure that they're not being incorrectly processed by your mail system, could you please check whether these emails ended up in the spam/junk folders of your inbox? If this isn't the case, please let me know, I'll be happy to send a ticket over to our Support Team on your behalf, so we could troubleshoot this further!

Anastasia, I followed your instructions - selected the folder requests will go into and made sure I was following it and selected "All tasks."  Then I created a test request and I didn't receive an email.  I do get the daily Wrike emails though.

Hi Abid, thanks for commenting! If you perform an action which is supposed to trigger a notification yourself, then you won't be notified about it. Notifications should come through when other users perform such actions - could you try this out from another user's profile and let me know if that works? Happy to help if any further questions come up about this!

Email notifications - my designer gets real time notifications of the comments being made during the review/approval process. The process is not done yet, I am still placing my comments, but at the same time designer gets notifications on every comment I make.  So she thinks the review/approval process is done and she supposed to start updating her document, when in reality this is still in the review/approval.

Can you separate the email notification "Status is changed" under a separate email option. It should be sent only Once, when all reviewers are finished.  right now it is bundled in the option  under "Date, Assignee or Status is changed".

It would be inconvenient for reviewers to send an additional message using @desiger name  after they finish their review.

Hi Liz, thanks for posting your suggestion on the Community! First of all, I wanted to check if I understood your request correctly: you want the designers to receive email notifications when all reviewers gave their decisions for a file but don't want them to get notifications about every Proofing comment added to the file. Did I get it right?
As per the separate notification for a status change - do you see it as an additional setting allowing you to enable email notifications about completed reviews? Can you think of any additional settings that might help you customize email notifications to better suit your team's needs? Looking forward to hearing back from you!

Hi Stefano, thanks for getting in touch! I checked your Profile settings and it looks like all notification types are enabled, and you're receiving Daily To-do emails. A possible reason why you're not getting any other notifications is that no actions are being performed which would trigger an email. Here are the actions which result in an email getting sent:

  • For tasks assigned or created by you: changes to the task description, dates, assignee, status, attachments, location of the task, new comments.
  • For tasks you follow: changes to the task description, dates, assignee, status, attachments, location of the task, new comments.

Let me know if there are tasks which you should have been notified about, I'll be happy to look into this further. :)

Hi Wrike,

We have projects that are being initiated from a request form.  One task in each of the 2 project templates is assigned to an individual so they will get a notification.  (Evidently we can't get new project notifications, only new task notifications so this is our workaround.)  We've created several projects in testing over the past couple of days and are not receiving the email notifications.  The task owners are Zac Badgley and Dominic Romito.  Can you take a look and let me know where we've gone wrong?

Thanks,
Rich

Hi Rich! I know you've opened a Support ticket about this too, but I just wanted to share the reply Vladimir sent you in case any other users have the same question:

  • Try double-checking the notifications settings to make sure all required options are selected.
  • Please check whether the emails could have landed in the spam/junk sections.
  • Please verify that emails from Wrike are white-listed in your firewall/antivirus settings (in case you use any).
  • Also, if any of those users have reviewed the task in Wrike within 10 mins after any action that triggers a notification, a notification won't come.

Hi,

I'm having the same issue. Is it an option not available in the free version ?

Thanks

Hi Guillaume, email notifications are available for all account types. I assume you have checked the list posted by Anastasia above so I have raised a Support ticket for the team to troubleshoot this with you. You'll receive an email on this soon. If there is anything else in the meantime, let me know. Thanks for posting.

Kind of a follow up to this post: https://help.wrike.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/211843045/comments/115001082489

My graphic designer isn't getting email notifications when a collaborator has marked a design as Changes Needed.

Oddly, when he views the task, the Comment Thread displays an update that the design was marked as Changes Needed. When I view the same Comment Thread - I don't see that update....

It would be great if both of us (the user who set up the project and assigned the task and the user/collaborator who routes a design for review) could receive an email when a design is marked as Changes Needed or Approved.

Also, can we ensure that the update about a collaborator marking a aesign is marked as Changes Needed or Approved is displayed for all users and collaborators who the project is shared with?

Thanks for your post, Erin, and welcome to the Community 🙌

Your Graphic Designer would need to check his notification preferences to ensure he has notification setting set up to receive this.

The comment stream should look the same for all people who are shared with or follow the task so I'm going to raise a ticket with the Support Team to take a look at this with you. You'll receive an email confirmation of this ticket soon and our team will be in touch.

Any questions,I'm happy to discuss here 👍
