Remove Account

Hi,

I need to remove a Wrike account.  What is the best approach?  I have unassigned tasks from this user.  What should be my next steps?

Hi Regina Carvell!

Here is how to remove a user from your Wrike account;

1. Click your profile image in the Workspace's upper right-hand corner.
2. Select “Account Management” from the drop-down menu. You will only see this option if you are currently an admin on the Wrike account in question.
3. The “Users” tab opens and you see a list of all users in the account.
4. Click the name or profile image of the user you want to remove.
5. Click “Delete user” in the panel that appears. If you'd like, you can check the box at the bottom of the panel to have Wrike send the user an email warning them that they can no longer access their account. 
6. In the pop-up enter your password and click "Confirm".

Hi Hugh, how can I do it if my profile image is unavailable? 

I registered in Wrike to test it. My trial period expired and now a have only two options. 

1. Buy a subscription
2. Contact support 

All other features is unavailable in this state. How I can delete my account?

Hi Alexey Kolonitsky,

This is an excellent question and welcome to the Community!

After your free Wrike trial period has ended, you can convert your expired trial account into a Free account by following these steps:

  1. Log in to your account and click "Purchase subscription" in the pop-up that appears.
  2. Choose 5 users as the size of your team.
  3. Select "Downgrade to Free Plan" in the upper right-hand corner.

If you then wish to delete your Free account, you can do so by:

  1. Clicking your profile picture in the upper right-hand corner of the Wrike Workspace. 
  2. Select "Settings" from the dropdown.
  3. Click "Settings" in the left panel.
  4. Scroll down to the "Delete account" section.
  5. Click "Delete my account".

To follow on with this: What happens to closed/completed tasks when you remove a User? We don't want to lose historical information on what the user had contributed, but we want to remove their access and have it not hit against our total licenses.

Hello Kate Russell, thanks for the question! If the tasks are shared with other users they will still be accessible by those users in Wrike. We still do recommend you choose a person to transfer all the user data to another regular user. You can check all the details about deleting a user on this article.
