Can you help me understand "Effort" vs "Allocation Effort" vs "Allocated Hours" input fields?
Hello Wrike Community.
Can someone help differentiate/clarify the "Effort" vs the "Allocation Effort" vs "Allocated Hours" input fields for me? It seems you can input 3 different values per input field which leads me to believe their is a nuance difference in what they are/how they are to be used.

This should clarify some things for you.
Matt Karaffa We only use allocated hours in conjunction with the flexible effort type. Like, if you have a task that will require multiple people to contribute some of their time over multiple days, the allocated hours are what you use to say how you will divide that up, whereas the effort is the total time the task will take. Does that help?
FYI in case someone else wants to know how I got this resolved. I received the below response from Wrike Support.

The "Allocation Effort" and "Allocation Hours" fields are deprecated features that were used in the legacy Workload view. The fields were replaced by task Effort and the Workload view by Workload charts and Resources view. We recommend switching to these features. While the fields are deprecated, they are still available in accounts created before 2018.
If you'd like, we'll be happy to remove the fields and the Workload view from your account to avoid any confusion with the fully functional and supported Effort and Workload charts. We'd just need your written confirmation. Removing these will not affect any functionality, but some users might still be using the legacy Workload view in some folders or projects. In that case we recommend adding the Resources view instead.
