Audio Review/Editing like Video

We'd love to be able to review and coach sales calls using Wrike by being able to proof similar to a video via timeline. Is this in your roadmap to support .wav files for that type of use?

Hi Keith, I appreciate the suggestion! While this isn't on our current roadmap, it's great to have your request on the Community (this hasn't been brought up before) so that other users could add their votes too.

I'll raise my hand here on this one as well. We do radio ads and it would be helpful if we could keep the file size down by only uploading an mp3 or WAv file.  Currently, we render out a blank video along with the audio for review.

Jumping in here to say that would very helpful as well - I'm sure many agencies are producing some sort of audio file that needs review and would definitely benefit from being integrated into the Review function in Wrike.

Agreed -- we do radio ads as well, and it would be great to be able to upload them for proofing and approval without faking them as video files for that purpose. It adds an extra step, makes our files larger, and makes the process more error-prone as well.

P.S. we'd love support for MP3 and Wav

I'm adding to this...This would be great to standardise the way we proof music. As part of team that release multiple albums per year I'd love to be part of making this a real win.

We are a record label of 17 artists who are constantly releasing music and this feature would be so incredibly helpful to review and approval mixes. I know many, many people in our industry would benefit greatly from that addition. Wrike developers - please look into adding this feature.

Just like Ryan Kennedy, We are also a record label and would find the ability to review a very valuable tool to have added to Wrike!

I suppose we could go through an extra step or two and create a "video" file, with a black background, from the .wav or .mp3 file.  and review as a video file, but tools should make things easier and make the flow smoother! 😀

We could also use this feature, as we have clients review VO & video separately at different phases of projects.

Hi all, thanks for your continued support of this idea. It's something we have passed to our team but currently, it's not something the team will be looking at right now, ahead of other essential updates to the Product.

As a workaround for now, you can upload your audio to Youtube, with an image. Then you can use Proofing with the Youtube integration with Wrike.

I'm not an audio expert, so I'm interested to hear if this could work for now, and what you're doing right now? Thanks for the votes and comments here 👍

Any updates to this? We would really love to see this properly implemented. :)

Just circling back around here (as I'm currently proofing audio). Any progress on this?

Re-The youtube suggestion. While that could work it add a lot of unnecessary work around. My organisation also uses Youtube a lot for content distribution for all of our music and videos. I don't deal directly with our CMS side of Youtube but it seems that uploading content to youtube for proofing could make the it more of a challenge as we get closer to release.

We also have far more people with access to our youtube CMS than I would like to have access to pre-released audio.

An integrated solution where perhaps even a link from dropbox could work the same as the youtube integration may be helpful?

We would REALLY love this as well! We also do radio ads for our clients and we are currently still using email to go through the proofing and approval process for radio only. It would be awesome if mp3 files were compatible with wrike so we could be 100% in the program and out of email!

Bump.

Would also like to add my support here. Currently we're adding a conversion step just to handle proofing in Wrike which is less than ideal. Can Wrike handle the change from audio only to MP4 with black video as a solution? I'm less concerned with it being "pretty" and more with avoiding the extra step for an audio engineer or producer to get feedback.

Sure would be nice to have this feature.  It is not really an easy thing to ask someone to convert their .wav or .mp3 files into .mp4 files each time they want to get feedback/approval.  It would seem that writing the code in Wrike 1 time would be much more efficient than each customer having to waste time with each and every audio file that they would like to get feedback/approval on.   Yes, this is a somewhat sarcastic way of putting it, but it IS real to those of us that have requested this feature...... and based upon what I can see in this thread,  some have been waiting for over 2 years!

I'll add to the chorus here. In a media landscape where podcast use and audience are booming, the lack of this feature definitely sticks out in the workflows of an increasing number of companies/clients. Thanks for elevating this if at all possible!

YES, please. It's frustrating to have such a great way to review other media...except audio, which is a huge part of what we hope to expand in our content marketing efforts.

I do have to point out that the suggestion here to use youtube, directly violates pretty much every company's possible confidentiality and data security guidelines. even with unlisted/private videos, the fact that you could post it online and the public could access it is a non-starter. Currently we're doing what everyone is doing, throwing our audio file into imovie or another video app and uploading a video; and that is a shame because it's a lot of extra work that is slowing us down. we are a toy company and use audio clips in educational products, sometimes with hundreds of voice-over actor clips. We had hoped Wrike would care enough to be responsive to so many users' needs.

Hi everyone, a quick update here;

While the Product team are interested in this suggestion, there are currently no plans to add this request to the short-term roadmap. If anything changes here, I'll be sure to let you know.

Adding to the thread. We are a radio/media organization. Please add SUPPORT FOR AUDIO file playback within Wrike (mp3, m4a, wav, etc). Thank You!

+1 on this. We need to review podcast episodes in production, along with video.

Please provide that same timeline comment functionality as we get with video files.

Yes please - I edit podcasts and having to convert them to video for review - then back to mp3s for editing is tedious!

This request first came up in 2017.. can you provide an update?  Seems like 4 years is a long time to provide support for audio.  Eagerly awaiting a response and more so a solution.

Hello Jose Calderon, thank you for posting. I've checked with our Product team and unfortunately, this is not planned for 2021. The Product team is focused on other priorities, so there is no scope to research this at the moment.

Please allow me to add a little more detail into how we process Product Feedback, we also have a Community article here about it if you'd like to read more about it.

We'd love to be able to implement all of the suggestions that our customers share with us, but we have to prioritize certain requests over others based on various factors and considerations at the time. The team looks at a wide range of data, user feedback, and Community suggestions/votes to determine what next to work on. They always aim to focus on implementing the functionality that will have the widest impact and benefit for the most users, and it's for this reason, that we simply can't implement all of the suggestions we receive via our various feedback channels.

If there’s anything else we can help with please don’t hesitate to let us know 👍
