select multiple folders as a location when creating task through a request form

When creating a task through a request form it would be great to be able to allocate the task to multiple folders automatically.

In the case where the task is allocated to a folder where the creator doesn't have visibility it would be good to have the task in a folder that is visible as well.

Hi everyone, thanks for sharing this idea! I'd love to learn about your workflow and the use vase you have for this - it would help our Product Team understand what exactly drives the need for certain functionality. Looking forward to hearing more about your processes!

Hi Anastasia,

We have a few divisions using the same Wrike subscription.

In relation to pricing we have a folder in the finance team that all pricing goes through. We would like to add a division specific folder to each pricing request so that while the pricing team is working on the pricing for all division from the finance folder, each division can see the progress of their pricing requests from their division pricing folder.

I would love this for our team!  We're currently testing out a separate folder for our admin team to assign specific job numbers to parent tasks (as part of a workaround solution to an issue we have with Wrike ID Numbers).

Currently the requests go to the relevant team folder, but it would be perfect if they also went into our company-wide "job number" folder to be assigned a number too.

Hi everyone! Wanted to let you know that this is now possible with conditional Request logic :) To do this, select the option to map to a Folder when adding options to a dropdown question in the Form Builder:

The newly created task will be tagged both with the location selected in the Form Builder, and with the Folder mapped to the dropdown question. Happy to answer any other questions about this!

It would be good if when a user is filling in a request form it offers all the sub folders in a project where the request form is to be saved. This would save you having multiple request forms.

Hi Jared! You can create dynamic questions - what that means is that certain actions are triggered based on the response someone selects. For example, if you create a dropdown question, you can have dropdown responses with department names which correspond with a Folder (like Marketing, HR, Sales, etc). If the Sales dropdown is selected, then the task will be added to that Folder. You can actually have one request form added to multiple Folders/Projects that way. Let me know if that's what you were looking for and I can go into more detail if you want.

I'd like to add that while these conditional forms are great, they don't really help when you have hundreds of folders because creating/updating that conditional option would be too difficult.

Currently one of our biggest hurdles switching to Wrike is not being able to select a folder while filling out a request form. While we can still tag multiple folders after the task has been made, adding the option during the request form would streamline the process and prevent anyone from "forgetting" 😉

Hopefully a folder picker is added!
