[Status: Backburner ⏳] Grouping Request Forms
We love the Request Forms and have reached a point where we now have more than 20, each for a specific function / business within our Group. It's reached the point where the Request Form screen is getting cluttered and it is getting difficult for some people to find the form they need.
What would be great is if it was possible to group forms together somehow or place them in folders to make navigation for users easier, e.g. forms that relate to functions like Marketing, finance & legal or forms that are specific to various business units (we have a lot).
Love this idea! This would be great :)
@Colin, thanks for sharing the idea!
@Holly, excited to see you're such a fan of Request Forms! :)
Agreed, would love to see this feature. We are using them across departments and having them grouped accordingly would be helpful.
Hi everyone, we have a lot of Requests internally as well so I can definitely see the value in this. One thing that I think may help is using prefixes for Request form names. For example:
It could be a workaround way of adding some organization to the Request list. Let me know what you guys think!
We would utilize this as well. Is this request in the upgrade queue?
@Kara, thanks for commenting! I don't have any timeframe to share right now, but potential organization and Request form improvements are something our team is discussing internally, so it's really helpful seeing your comments here. :)
Hi @Anastasia, yes that would be wonderful. I agree with the posters that it's getting unmanageable.
Much needed!!!
Thanks for your vote and input here Olga and Lauren!
Zendesk makes sth like CATEGORY:TITLE OF FORM
Why you cant do this???
I agree with the premise of this post - further organizing of request forms is needed.
We have two divisions that work as a team in Wrike (as we collaborate on executing a lot of projects), so we have already had to do a organization request names into what division said request is for. However, much like the original poster requests have become very popular and now the request page can become quite overwhelming for some employees (who have to send requests to both divisions). I could add a department name on top of the Request form and Division Name - but it would start to mean that the categorization of the request form is longer than the request form title.
We just started with wrike and this feature is highly requested.
We are planing specific request forms for more than 10 departments and navigation will be hard in the future.
I completely agree with this, our company has +20 request forms being used internally and we really need the ability to better organize them. Stephanie Westbrook's idea doesn't work for us because the requests forms are all for unrelated departments/purposes but used by everyone (i.e. grouping with a prefix doesn't work).
Yes, please! People have to scroll down a long list of forms instead of a folder that pertains to a particular company or topic. As well, once a person submits the form, there is no way for them to access their submission easily.
Has there been any update on this feature? We have a large number of forms that will continue to grow - the more confusing it is for team members to find something, the more resistant they are to use this. I can see how a company would have a huge number of forms and they would get completely lost.
Here's one potential workaround for this need... create an internally hosted web page that acts as a Request Form launchpad.
The link to each request form can be obtained by accessing Wrike via a web browser and opening each form. URLs will be in the format:
https://www.wrike.com/workspace.htm?acc=9999999#path=request-forms&accountid=9999999&formid=999999
Example using responsive masonry layout:
Yes please!! We also have several forms and would like to organize them by folder.
And same for Reports!
Laura Boylan - thank you for your tip - i did not think of this as I typically use the app
Based on this I made a workaround - It does not solve the grouping using the + button but I
can add and 'rename' the request from to something shorter in the bookmark and thereby
'remove' the requests not relevant
Once created it works in both the app and browser
Hi everyone, thank you for all of your feedback! This thread nearly has 60 upvotes, so our Product team will be providing this thread with a status soon. You can read more about our process here. As soon as I have an update for you I'll let you know! Any feedback or use cases helps our team during their discussions, so if you have any, let me know 😊
We also found workarounds for this at our company, similar to what Laura shared above but there are a few things to consider. When people are using external links to requests forms, it limits their ability to interact with Wrike. The request goes in to the system and is assigned a request ID, but after that, the communication with Wrike stops. They would need to log in to the tool to search for their request and keep up-to-date on status changes.
For internal users, we have tried "grouping" the forms by adding a prefix to the forms. For example, for our Human Resources team, we name their forms HR - Onboarding, HR - Offboarding, etc. For our admin team, we use the prefix ADMIN -.
It has helped somewhat but I'm happy to hear that the Wrike team has put this forward as a feature for consideration. Hope to hear updates soon!
Hi Renee Mitchell, thank you for this use case! It's been passed on to the team.
I see this thread goes back to 2017 - we're still anxiously awaiting a better way to organize request forms. Any updates?
Hey Renee Mitchell, no updates yet, but we should have one soon. As soon as I get the update, I'll be updating this thread with a status 😊
Adding this grouping would be very helpful! Thanks

Hello everyone! Thanks a lot for your continued support for this suggestion!
This is not in the team's short-term plans, but it's definitely on the team's radar for the 2021 roadmap planning 🙂 I've added the "Backburner" status for now, and we'll let you know when there's news.

@Lisa, any update on this item for grouping request forms?
We are also interested in this type of grouping capability for reports (and Analyze boards). Is there a current request for this I can tap into?
Thanks!
Hi Gretchen Linder, thank you for reaching out!
For request form grouping, have you tried using the bookmarks section in spaces?
In relation to reports, they are now part of the tools in spaces and are created in specific spaces (here's more detail on that) - does this help in your case?
Please let me know!

A simple folder structure inside request forms would be so beneficial! With 55 forms it is very cumbersome to not have the capability to archive forms and provide some structure for them.
Thank you for posting and sharing your thoughts Shelly Mikkelson, I've passed on your feedback to our Product team 👍🏼
Out form count is growing rapidly and managing these forms is getting to be very difficult. I have started using MS Forms for things that don't have to create Wriek and task projects but for most forms I do need something created. I see that this feature has been requested for 5 years now, so at this point I would be happy if I could have a link to form editor (not just the external web view).
