Email Notification Best Practices
We are experiencing an overloading of email notifications with tasks we create. I wonder what others are doing to best manage notifications for task progress, whether simply watching tasks through Wrike, email, hiding all emails, batching emails. Any information would be helpful, thanks!
Hi Tony, I'm quite strict on email notifications. I have almost all Wrike notifications off. I rely on the stream and inbox to stay up to date. Also good to use dashboards or reports to stay on top of things.
excellent Peter van Teeseling. I am aiming to be more strict, but need to build the habit of checking the inbox within wrike daily.
Hi Tony,
For myself I like seeing notifications for everything, so I can be sure nothing falls through the cracks. For others they are not so much a fan of so many emails but sill want the visibility. For those who want to see the notifications but not junk up their inbox. I have helped them to set up a Microsoft email rule, so it will file the notifications away from their inbox and they can review as needed from the specific folder.
Tony Kyrstan Mckay explore Wrike dashboards as a good means to stay on top of tasks and activity on tasks and projects you are involved with. I am finding my main dashboard the goto/start screen when I start my day. For email management I can highly recommend Sanebox
Sanebox can monitor your email and cleverly apply rules. So all Wrike emails go into a folder skipping my inbox. Similar to setting up rules in Outlook.
Peter van Teeseling Yup! I use the dashboards and Microsoft teams to see and process my soon to be target dates. Did you know you can integrate Wrike into Microsoft teams? Its the not the most custom way to view it (like dashboards) but it is another convenient way to review your assigned tasks.
