Why are tasks/subtasks sorted by title and not manually?
I have started testing Wrike for my startup as ASANA has lots of things that I don't like, for example, only two levels of subtasks, and Wrike is so much better at that.
However, one thing that I noticed that it absolutely crazy is that tasks/subtasks within a Project are organized by Title, and I cannot order them as I like.
There is the workaround of adding numbers to the front but that is totally the contrary of what 99% of project managers do.
I am missing some way to manually sort the tasks/subtasks?
Thanks.
Hi, Javier Arce welcome to the Community and thank you for posting.
There are several sorting options to sort the tasks, but you can manually drag and drop your subtasks and organize them in the order you'd like.
I'm passing on your feedback to the team👍🏼
I see that the tasks can be sorted by priority but I do not see how to assign a priority to the project. Is there a way to numerically prioritize the project list?
Welcome to the Community Josh Edel 👋 You are correct that it's not possible to set importance for projects like you can for tasks. There are other ways to achieve that though. For example, you could use folders as tags. Create three folders that can have titles like "High Priority", "Low Priority" etc. You can also color-code those folders, for example, red for high priority, and green for low. After that, you can move the projects in those folders according to their priority. Each project will have a colored tag under its title that will show its priority. Can that be helpful?
Let me know if you have any questions 🙂

Thanks Lisa. Yes that can be helpful. I do suggest a product improvement to add prioritization to the projects under a folder as it is helpful to project managers when going through a project list. You said tasks can be set for importance and that is helpful. I see a Sort By drop down that allows me to pick priority. Is that priority set by due dates or what sets that priority?
Josh Edel When sorting tasks by priority, you can drag and drop tasks vertically to change their priority; the closer a task is to the top of the list, the higher the priority. So it's basically a manual priority setting. Hope it helps 🙂
