Group Report by Space

It'd be great if we could group a report by Space, not just Project/Folder, since Spaces often means a whole team/department.

I agree with this! We just set up all of our spaces by team, but as an administrator or leadership member I want to have a report that is grouped by Space rather than needing to create and look at a report for every single space.

100% Yes! Our Spaces are our markets and it would be excellent to group our reports by Space and see how everything stacks up and be able to see the number of projects each space had, the amount of effort and time applied to each Space, etc. without having to jump between several separate reports.

I totally agree with Kelly. 

Our customers are devided into spaces , that hold mutliple projects. 

Reporting on the spaces would be a major improvement.

Hi everyone! I've been looking at this suggestion again, and I tested a little and this is the result - I created a report based on a couple of spaces, and the custom group view shows the tasks grouped as selected, but if I click on structured hierarchical view, it shows me the tasks grouped under different spaces: 

Can this help in this case?

It's so weird that this isn't possible - SPACES are the highest level of the Wrike hierarchy. Each of our clients has it's own space, so being able to filter reports easily this way is paramount

Agreed that it seems like an incredibly basic feature based on the reports already broken into folder level - Space is the top tier hierarchy. I need to be able to pull an enterprise project list broken by Space level

Hi Lisa, 

I'm unable to click on structured hierarchical view in the reports view and also need to be able to run reports which are sorted by space. I can do this in dashboards, but I need the table view that shows more details. It's frustrating that I need to now do this manually for something the tool could easily do for me.

This particular thread has not quite reached the 60 upvotes threshold, but we share the feedback here with our Product team anyway, of course. Lisa The workaround that was suggested by you helps when the report is on Tasks. But if I want a report on the various projects placed across different spaces. That Hierarchy icon is not visible. 

Do suggest if there is another workaround for Reports based on Projects.

I could suggest tagging all the needed projects in one space, or use a custom field and manually add space titles there, to then use this field for grouping in reports (although I understand this is not a perfect option).

Hi Lisa, 

Thanks for the response, that was quick. 

Well that is the work around I have applied by tagging all critical projects into my personal space. But if I were to extend to say around 30-40 projects being worked on by the company. That becomes quite cumbersome. The same would go for the workaround of manually adding a custom field for all existing projects which will be quite tedious. 

PS: Creating a custom field with Space Titles not exactly sure how this can be done, some pics or link would help.

What I meant was to create a new custom field, call it "Space", apply it to projects and then manually add the space name to that custom field on all projects. After that, you can use that field for filtering or grouping.

The possibility to filter and group by space would be extremely useful, in particular in the new dashboard widgets. Hope it is on your roadmap already.
