[Status: Investigating ๐Ÿ•ต๏ธ] Pin/Save Wrike Desktop App Tabs

It would be great if the desktop application could save your last opened tabs or open to certain tabs similar to Chrome.

Would love to be able to pin tabs that always open on Wrike startup. I always want my inbox in tab 1 and dashboard in tab 2, and it takes up a lot of space with the title in those tabs. If I could have just icons instead, it would free up reading real estate for the following tabs.

Is there any chance this will become a thing? I would love to be able to pin my home, my personal widgets, and my inbox.

This would be so helpful, to just start on the same page everyday for example to start on different kind of dashboards that you maintain.

I agree, I spend time every day looking for my projects. It would save me so much time if the desktop app would open with tabs.

When I open the desktop app, this is how it opens for me...or with the tabs from the prior day. What is being requested on this thread, I don't think I understand? If I accidentally pull a tab out into another window, I can't put it back in like you can w/ Chrome, so then I have to rebuild. Or if I try to duplicate a tab to "re-insert" what I pulled out, it doesn't stick.ย

Vicki Jones I would like to start on the same pages everyday when starting up Wrike, so like the most important dashboards. To see all the information at the start of the day.

Pieter Koens - so you do have the different tabs/pages that open when you start up? But you want to define the one specific tab/page that displays when you open? Mine always opens on the tab/page to the far right, and agree, would like for it to open on my dashboard page which is on the far left for me.ย

Be careful with having too many tabs open - if you have a tab opened you might not get any notifications if someone adds anything to those tabs. This is also an issue that I have asked to be fixed, but hasn't been. It makes it easy to miss notifications because they assume you read the comment when you aren't even on the tab.

As a workaround, to this, I star tasks, and then it saves that location for you in the stars tab.ย

Vicki Jones Your Wrike for Windows opens with all of the tabs open from the previous day?ย  At one time mine opened that way, but with one of the updates that stopped.ย  Now it opens with only one tab and it is on the Home page every time.

I would love for it to open where I left off the previous day.ย  If that wasn't a possibility, at least allow me to pin the tab/page I want it to open to.

Kelly Chlebowski. Yes, that's correct. My desktop version (Windows) opens with all the tabs I had open the previous day. I just upgraded to the most recent version in the past week I think and it still works (thankfully!).ย ย

YES, I would love if we have the capability to "pin" tabs similar to how you can pin tabs in Chrome. For example, I have my email and calendar pinned in Chrome so 1. they stay in that spot and I don't lose it amongst all my other tabs and 2. it makes them nice and small, so it helps keep my tabs clean looking.ย

I constantly have my workload chart and pending request tabs open in times at all times and I am frequently flipping back and forth between the two as I am scheduling things out for my team. However, they easy get lost or closed accident. If there was a way to right click on the tab and "pin" it in place, that would be fantastic.ย

Pinning the tabs is a no-brainer productivity feature, not sure how Wrike incorporates the ideas into product releases. Lately, I've been looking at several other features that user requested but did no make to the product release even after few years. In our firm, we are having second thoughts about keeping Wrike because a lot of intuitive features are absent, and navigation is becoming really difficult.ย

Hi Sri Gutti! Please let me share some detail on how this Product Feedback forum works. We have a voting system here where any Wrike user can upvote a suggestion when visiting the Community. We have a processย for reporting all suggestions, feedback, and votes from this forum to our Product team, and they continuously review all of this data.

Once any suggestion reaches the 60 votes threshold, we add a Product status to it. You can check out more info on that and on the list of statusesย in this post. So please upvote the original post above if you haven't yet.

Our team can't commit to working on all or even most of the suggestions in this forum, but at the same time, feedback from this channel is still important to them. As an example, here's the listย of Community-generated suggestions that the team has released last year.
I hope this info was helpful, but if you have any questions, please let me know.ย

So, I know we're not at 60 votes yet, but I think that's just because a majority of Wrike users don't come to the forums... However, this feature seems to have worked for me for quite a while, but I don't know how I enabled it and now I've got a new computer and can't seem to get my tabs to stick around. Did they sneak this in but not tell us? and where is the setting?

10/10 agree, my Wrike will reopen my tabs but they'll be in a completely different order. I regularly access ~13 different tabs and know which ones which based off where I normally have it positioned. Having to rearrange every tab to be in it's normal spot every time I restart the app is a pain and wastes time when logically it would make sense for the app to open to the same state it was in when it was closed. Having the tabs reopen but not in the same order as when the app was closed makes no sense.ย

I agree! ย The tabs not reopening in the same order needs to be fixed asap! ย

Mine still opens w/ the same tabs, but at some point over the past year, they are no longer in the same order. It is a pain to get everything in the correct order! I pretty much leave my computer on all week w/ Wrike open so I only have to deal with it once a week.

Hi folks! Thank you for reaching out! It looks like the tabs should be opening in the same order, so I've asked our Support team to look into your cases ๐Ÿ‘

If anyone else notices such behaviour, I'd recommend reaching out to our Support team too.ย

My tabs change order every morning when Wrike starts up. I'm glad the same ones from the day prior open but I spend just as much time rearranging them as I would reopening them to begin with. Please add the ability to pin items like other browser-esque programs have had for years.

This idea has crossed the 60 vote threshold specified by Wrike to gain a status. Any idea when that will be added for this idea?
