[Status: Launched! ๐Ÿš€(in Wrike Labs)] Default View for Spaces

'Spaces' needs the ability to select a default view like projects or folders. Viewing spaces in list view is frustrating and we would prefer a baord view.

Kudos to Peter Tisdallย and Phil Simย for the suggestions. ย Really agree on this one, @...ย and glad you guys have moved this status along in the Product backlog even though we don't have the 60 votes yet. ย

Hoping to see this feature soon!

Default view in spaces would be awesome. We prefer table view across my team as it gives us the most ordered and vast amount of information in one all-inclusive view.

Thank you Shannon Cateย for the upvote - we use Table View as a dashboard for invoice collection - using the same logic as you - we can see everything on one screen.ย  Our issue is two-fold:

1. The default view is LIST, and we need to change to Table EVERY TIME.

2. The default FILTER is one derived from another SPACE, and has no relevance to INVOICES.ย  So again, we have to select another INVOICE-RELATED saved filter.ย  ย We need default filters, for each SPACE, or at least to use filters SAVED in this SPACE, and not the LAST-USED filter from another SPACE.

With staff multi-tasking, we find it is a right pain in the rear to move from SPACE/Project to SPACE/Project of completely unrelated departments only find that the LIST view is the default, and then we have to select the correct filter that meets the data in that SPACE.

See below.

I don't get it. How is it possible to set the default view for an entire space?

I'm using the New sidebar and toolbar and Wrike changed the default view to table. But i want to change the default view to list.

Hi Marco Eberl! Here's how you can change it:

Change to the view you prefer and click on the three-dot menu you'll see the option to set it as default.

Unfortunately that works only for the current item/folder. Subfolder are not affected.

You're right Marco Eberl, I've also asked our Support specialists to take a look to double-check, and they've confirmed that you need to apply the default view to every level individually. We've passed this feedback to our Product team ๐Ÿ‘
