Is anybody else having problems with the proofing feature? I am not sure if it is because I enabled the Proofing & Approvals: A New Look and Feel feature in Wrike Labs or if it is something else...

Yes, my team is having problems with it. I've just emailed support about this and also submitted feedback.
The problems we're having include not being able to save comments and not being able to comment on different pages in a multi-page document. In both cases, once you get stuck, the only solution is to refresh, reopen the review window and find the place where you left off so you can start editing again.
Obviously in a communications team we use the proofing tools extensively and this is killing us right now.
We are still being able to utilize the functions however, there are some changes in this new update that are not user-friendly. Specifically, having the comment box pop-up on the actual document rather than just on the right-hand side like normal is frustrating. When we are making a comment, we are frequently referencing the content on the actual document which is now covered up by the comment box.
