[Status: Backburner ⌛️] Feature requests for request forms
Request forms in Wrike are very limited and, in our team's case, very much unusable. The request forms in Wrike were a BIG letdown for us after using Asana+JOTForm for a long time. We would like to see the following features in Wrike:
- Conditions: Hide/show fields depending on the Input in other fields or make them required. (IF -> THEN). Our request forms are very complex and we don't want to show the user fields that are not relevant for his request.
- Text blocks: Add text between question fields. With a WYSIWYG-Editor and link support. We need the feature to display some information to the user to guide him to the request form. We also need to place some links.
- Option to match an answer to multiple task fields (e.g. display the answer as task title + custom field)
- Option to block range of dates in the date picker. In our teams workflow we always need at least two weeks before completing a request. We do not want to offer the user to pick a date prior to this. (e.g. Selection of only +14 days in the future).
-
Automatically assign task to subfolders based on the field's answer (e.g. for checkboxes or dropdowns ): We need to seperate our tasks into three subfolders and it would be nice if that would be somehow automated, based on the selection of the user. It also would be great if multiple subfolders could be assigned based on the checkbox answers.
In our case we work for three companies and we want to be able to filter the tasks accordingly. In some cases tasks are assigned to multiple companies at once, hence the need for multiple subfolder assignments.
At the moment we're using JOTForm and Zapier (connected to Wrike). JOTForm offers most of these features and much more. But unfortunately this workaround isn't perfect too and a bit pricey (Zapier).
A direct JOTForm integration feature would be a good solution too.
We hope to see these features in the future, because request forms are one of the most important tools for our team.
I agree with all of these suggestions. One of the biggest issue we have is a request can span multiple departments. Would like the see these features.
I agree about the JotForms direct integration. We are using Jotforms specifically because of the conditional options as well as User Interface that allows us to customize the way it looks. We are a CREATIVE DESIGN company, so it matters.
The most dynamic option we currently have with Jotfom>Zapier>Wrike is to create a TASK that is assigned to the project manager to THEN create a project from the appropriate Blueprint. But at least it allows the user to feel like they are completing fields that are relevant to their project.
If we had the ability to automatically create a project from Blueprint depending on the form answers, even place it in the correct folder with the custom fields accurately filled etc, that would be awesome! Please make this a thing!
Hey guys, thanks for sharing your feedback on Request Forms here. I'll get back to you when I have an update 🙌

All of these sound like great improvements to Request Forms. I'd love to see them implemented. We also have several forms that would benefit greatly from having text blocks between questions to add links and pictures to the form.
In addition to the above, would love to see a request form field type that is purely for sorting/categorizing (and doesn't appear in the description of the final request).
We end up with lots of blank checkbox fields that were only on the form to place the task into a folder (Metro and Broadcast below).
I've already commented on this in general, but a specific use case came up that could be solved by this request.
We currently have the option to specify a question on a request form that should be used for the task prefix when creating a project from a template or blueprint. However, that question will always also go into the project description.
Please let us direct that answer to only the task prefix and exclude it from the project description.
I thought of a couple options for how this could play out:
Both solutions really tie back to being able to output an answer to more (or less) than one field.
Hi everyone!
@Joshua Special thanks for your detailed use-case here 🙂
I've added the Backburner status, our Product team are interested, but none of the ideas suggested are on the roadmap at the moment. I'll keep your updated on that.
Just one more thing - with Wrike Integrate it is possible to map the answer to a custom field and set up a trigger for new task creation. Also, JOTForm integration should be possible with Wrike Integrate as well, there is no direct connector to JOTForm, but you can use the universal HTTP connector to be notified of filled in forms.

Hey everyone, our Product team are still interested in these ideas, but they are not currently on the roadmap at the moment. As soon as there is an update I will let you know 😊
Hi Wrike Team!
Is there any movement on this? We could really use these features. It would make the difference between onboarding the rest of our teams to Wrike who have not been able to get their process into Wrike due to the lack of these features in Request Forms.
Hello,
I would love, love, love to see an easier setup /direct integration with Jotform--it would make our lives so much easier. We tried setting it up initially and it was a bit tedious and didn't fulfill our needs. Also, the conditional statements to show/hide fields would be really helpful for our most complicated requests.
Hi Sarah Dungey, Trish Whelan! 🤗 The team continues to introduce improvements to request forms, like the new User type of question that we announced recently. They continue to monitor your feedback, including this thread, but I don't have an ETA for other improvements just yet. I'll keep you posted!

I'd like to add one more feature request for request forms: choosing who to assign the form to when it's submitted.
Hey Kirstie Dyment! You can choose that in the request form builder:
Please let me know if that's not what you meant.

Hey Lisa, that's not what I meant - I'd like to be able to choose different people based on who is filling out the form, so the assignee wouldn't be the same each time. Ideally, this could be a field within the form itself.
Got it, thanks a lot for the additional details Kirstie Dyment! I'll pass your feedback to the team 👍

My teams would love to see this functionality in Wrike. Any word on this getting this off of Backburner status?
Hi Heather Perkins, welcome to the Community 👋 Our Product team has plans to introduce updates to our request forms next year, and we will let you know when we have more info on the planned enhancements 👍
