Hey Guys,
Thanks for getting this up and running! The last final piece of the puzzle for Wrike.
I'm currently experiencing a bug. It seems like only tasks which have a duration of over two days are showing in the calendar. The tasks themselves show in the calendar as a 1 days task when i fact it is 2, a 2 day task when it is 3, and so on. As such all my milestone tasks also do not appear at all. Also means creating tasks through the calendar itself is pointless as it creates the task and then disappears straight away (but can be found in the folder it was created in) since the default duration is 1 day.
I hope that makes sense.
James
"The last final piece of the puzzle for Wrike": this phrase is undeed about the situation. We've been awaiting this cool feature for so long and it's our!
Glad you're happy guys - I love it, use it everyday now 🙂
@Jamie - is this still happening? I'll need to raise a ticket so please try it incognito browser and see if it's the same first. Thank you!
I would like the option of choosing time in the calendar/wrike as well as printing a PDF that looks good and can be distributed
This is great! thanks for the add.
I am still investigating what I can do with it. I agree with the request above to be able to print a PDF.
I do not have an admin account and we are not using calendars currently.
I might be missing something, but I would like for it to pull directly from the listed tasks on a project. Not quite sure how it will do that. So far it looks like I can only add more tasks to an existing project and not pull over already active tasks from a project. If I missed something please let me know but with out that feature it makes it not as flexible at the moment. I'd have to wait until I start a new project.
It would be nice if the calendar tasks could somehow notify us ahead of time. We will use the calendars to show final milestones and share these with key stakeholders. That said, in order for this to also function as a project management tool for us, we need all major projects on the calendar to be the drop dates... but we need to kick off a complete project with tasks ahead of time, so it would be ideal if we could designate a notification time ahead for us to kick off that actual campaign. (e.g., if I have an event the week of 6/1 on my calendar, I need to be notified 6 weeks ahead of time to kick off the project and tasks to bring that marketing piece to market prior to the actual event)
This is cool, but for users like myself who use templates to generate all our projects the calendar isn't very useful because the underlying project name isn't display so what I end up with is a calendar that looks like this. Until the project names are added to this view I think the dashboard view is still my best bet.
Hi! Very glad to see this feature and looking forward to implementing it within our creative and operational teams. Any plans to have this integrate with Outlook?
Hello. It's a very good feature, calendar in Wrike give my work more structured appearance.
My team has decided as a group that we have a need for two calendars. One that tracks all of our email sends (a road map to make sure we aren't sending multiple things on the same day) and a team Out of Office calendar as we have a lot of travel days that impact timing of projects being completed. The calendars have been easy to create and add precisely what we want to each. However we have two team members who manage projects and we are not able to both add to the team calendars. Whoever created the calendar is the only one that is able to add tasks to it even though we are both admins. Is there a step we are missing that will allow us both to have access to adding tasks to the calendars? Is there another way to create a calendar outside of our personal workspace that is considered an Amin calendar and can just have specific teams assigned sort of like the workflows? Any information you can provide is helpful.
Hi guys, great to see the great use you're getting from this feature.
Calendars are still in Labs so we really appreciate the feedback at this point. It's too early to confirm, our Product Team is reviewing your feedback here and I'll be updating you on any changes that may come about!
@Trish, once it's a Smart (not Classic) Calendar, this shouldn't be happening. Classic Calendars are for other's reference when shared, while Smart Calendars are a little more dynamic in terms of what you can do when it's shared.
So far, Calendars are awesome.
I agree with Drew Donaldson above. There are workarounds--such as creating a different calendar for each project, with a separate color for each calendar--but being able to tell which project or folder a task is part of would be great. One idea would be an option to show folder/project colors instead of calendar or status color.
I'd also like to be able to add tasks to Smart Calendars through the calendar. Perhaps it could use the broadest selection as the default (for instance, If I have a calendar for the "All" folder, that shows tasks from subfolders, adding to that calendar would just create the task in the main "All" folder).
I love the show/hide dock on the side, and I'd love to see something like that added to Dashboards for which dashboard I'm looking at (still really dislike the dropdown for dashboard selection).

@Stephen, thanks for the additional information. The smart calendar is a good option for our out of office calendar but not for our email send schedule calendar. The problem that we have with the smart calendar for emails is that our emails are project and/or department based. So we have emails in multiple projects/folders depending upon the content and audience. I could have four fundraising campaigns (BBB, NK, HN, GOH), a pathway email, an E-news and a recruitment email all happening around the same time to different audiences as seen below in the top Classic calendar view. To create a smart calendar I would have to add all the projects/folders where the email send tasks live so that it appears on the Smart calendar and then it becomes too cluttered with all the other project tasks.
With a Classic calendar I am able to get an email only snapshot as seen below by sending the email send task to the calendar:
But if I want all that same information with a smart calendar I have to add the folders/projects where each of those tasks live which then gives me this view which has become cluttered with all the other tasks that are also happening during that week:
As a large team we have two people who do project management and are responsible for certain areas of work. We both have emails that we track and we want to be able to add them to one calendar. I shouldn't have to go into my co-workers projects and add the emails just because she doesn't have the access. Hope this helps clarify a bit.
@Trish: You could try making a folder titled 'Email' to tag emails in all of your projects, then you could use that folder for your email send schedule calendar.

@Paul, thank you for that suggestion, we are still somewhat new to the system and I hadn't thought about tagging an email folder. It could work as an optional work around. It would still be great if both of us administrators could just add to a shared calendar but if that feature isn't an option this will work. 🙂
Really loving this feature - I had actually scheduled an appointment to ask about implementing something like this, and then I got a surprise email it had been released. It's making it so much easier to keep a current and accurate editorial calendar, and I'm also using it for even/social planning and even personal development goals and milestones.
@Trish, totally understand your ways of working now. Great feedback and it's great to hear this while the feature is in Labs 👍 Glad to hear Paul's idea is something you can use for now too.
@Paul - As per usual, great thinking and thanks for sharing🥋
Although this is a good feature, IMO it makes Wrike very busy. I see more reduction of duplication coming from using the Calendar plug in to link to Google Calendar
So glad to see that Wrike is implementing calendars! Hopefully there will be a way for this to work for us. We also use a lot of templates to create our projects, as another user noted. It would be great to move from Google Calendar to this one that lives in Wrike.
So far so good! I have been waiting for this feature for years. The only problem I see so far is that you can't multi-select tasks and add them to a calendar. Keep up the good work!
Our team really likes this idea, but we're having trouble getting it to function properly. A few of us have built out smart calendars and gone through and double checked and triple checked our filters, but it looks like the calendars are not pulling in all of the tasks that match the filters. When I use the same filters on workload or list view, I see a lot more tasks. For example, I have a team member who has 8 tasks show up as due on June 1 in workload and list view. When I use those same filters on calendar view, only two tasks appear. We can't find any rhyme or reason as to why some tasks show up and some don't, but it's not usable for us until it's reliable. But I REALLY hope it gets fixed, because it looks like it could be incredibly helpful for us!
I would like to add another vote for the PDF print feature. Or some way to share with external partners that are not in Wrike. We are using the calendar as a marketing calendar to show Sales/Promotions, New Product Launches, and more but would like to share it in a calendar view.
Great new feature! I've only used the Smart mode. This is easier to re-configure and share than setting the view and sharing the URL to Google Calendar. 🐶 Nice and easy to slide around to reschedule.
Some nice to have additions:
@All - Quick update to Calendars
You can now create Project Based Smart Calendars. This means you can create a Calendar to see Projects. Take a look below and if you have any questions, let me know 👍
Thank you all for the continued feedback here on this Labs feature 🖖
It's getting there but still not really fitting my workflow. If I could drill into the project calendar and see the underlying task calendar, I think that would make this pretty useful for us. Also, it doesn't seem to be bringing in all the projects from the folder I select only the one I was last looking at.
This is very helpful!
I love how Wrike just helps having to switch between so many different apps. Maybe one day it'll just be the Wrike tab on my explorer.
We were excited to see this option arrive in Labs and, finally, convinced our admins to turn it on for us. So far we have not done a lot with it except to create a team calendar to reflect time off, travel, etc. Looking forward to using it more!
