[Status: Launched ๐] Duplicating Projects - Reschedule by Milestone
Oh hi,
It would be amazing to have the ability to reschedule a project by a milestone date (in addition to first task start date or last task end date).
For example, many of our projects are content launches that include promotion, monitoring, and other tasks post-launch.

This makes duplicating projects a struggle because we have to introduce math - the user has to add EXACTLY 8 WEEKS to the content launch date in order to have the project reschedule correctly. (And yes, they could shift + drag to adjust the timeline, but that seems like an unnecessary extra step.)
It makes sense that we use milestones to mark an important task, but it would also be great to define a project by that important task too.
Please advise / assist. Thanks!
Carolanne
Hello - Are there any updates on this suggestion? The ability to schedule tasks around milestones would be very beneficial to our team.ย
Hi Elena Morlini, welcome to the Community, and thank you for checking in. At the moment, this suggestion remains a backburner, we'll be sure to update you here if there are any changes๐๐ปโโ๏ธ
Is this feature available yet? Or does anyone have a viable workaround? My team want to utilize Wrike blueprints to automate the onboarding planning process, but not being able to calculate and automate dates for tasks that occur before and after a milestone (start date) is making Wrike unusable for project management โ I'm back to using basic spreadsheets!
Hi Sonya Petri, welcome to the Community and thank you for chiming in here. Unfortunately, we don't have any news to share, we'll be sure to let you know of any updates here๐๐ผ
I'd like to add my voice to this one also!ย
Yes, please!ย ย
Adding my vote as well!ย In our use case, all jobs revolve around install START DATE.ย this is a milestone. It would be absolutely wonderful if we could move that milestone, and all other task (not yet completed) would follow maintaining there same dependencies.ย
For my use case, we have three principle milestones per project, Build start, client approval and go live dates, each of which are subject to change up until the day before the milestone.ย The ability to link multiple milestones and have all preceding and succeeding tasks maintain dependencies when changing one of the three milestones would be game changing.
Hi folks!ย
This feature is now available - you can reschedule around a specific task, which can be a milestone as well!ย

This is great to be able to do!
Now if only I could choose it to be a function of certain selections on a project request form. We use one form for multiple project types and the form then pulls in the appropriate blue print for each client selection: It would be nice to be able to set how it reschedules based on that selection as well, because some types schedule around an end/deliver date but others schedule around a shoot or launch date. If the rescheduling by task is an option of request forms in general, we could split the single form out into multiple but that wouldn't be the best client experience for our partners.
Thank you for the detailed feedback, Katie Wilborn! ๐๐ฝ
