[Status: (Now in Wrike Labs) Investigating ๐ต๏ธโโ๏ธ] Need to receive notifications when a task that is assigned to me is duplicated via a template that I created
If I create a template and assign myself a task I am not notified of that assignment, which is something I expect.ย However when that template is duplicated I need to be notifiedย aboutย the new task that I am assigned.ย ย The only notification that I receive is if that task is deleted.
This is a real issue because asย the project manager and there are tasks that I have to complete afterย the duplication ofย the template (i.e. assigning the tasks, customizing it according to each client/project's specs.).ย Your wonderful support rep Polina was kind enough to clarify that no Inbox/email notifications are triggered when tasks are created in bulk (like via duplication) because, otherwise,ย my Inbox/email will be flooded. Here are all the cases when no notifications are triggered:
- Folder/Project/Task duplication.
- Excel/MS Project import.
- Creation of a Project from template via request submission.
I do understand that logic for this but once againย a large reasonย of assiging myself a task is in part to be sure I receive a notification when the task is "created". At this time the only way around it seems to be to have someone create a brand new template and assigning those tasks to me, which is a no go for us. After all that is my job as a project manager.
I really appreciate your help with this!ย ๐
Hi, sorry for the delay getting back here Deidra. I was checking this out with the Product Team.
I can see your point here and it's something our team are thinking about so having your input here is very useful. It's too early to provide any concrete information on this now, but once it's added to the team's roadmap I'll know more and I'll share here.
Thanks for your post!๐
Stephen thank you for looking into this!ย I look forward to hear future updates on thisย ๐
I could not agree more.ย I need to get notified aboutย duplicated tasks the same as any other task. If that's too many notifications for some, they can opt out.
In my opinion, it's almost the same as you turn off your mail to avoid some spam mailing
Thisย is a crucial featureย for accountsย that are working with template based requests with 100+ users and a lot of internal processes.
And it will be great if this feature can be activated for an account, by request to Wrike manager
