Dashboard UI
First: I love the new dashboards. They have so many great features that we are using them for basically everything now. One of their best aspects is that they are actionable.
That being said, we are building more and more dashes to handle different types of work. On dashes with lots going on, It would be wonderful to be able to color-code widgets to help our users feel confident in the decisions they are making.
In the below example, a group of our users is responsible for reviewing a type of form, linking it as a subtask to a book cover or endsheet task and then dragging that book task into one of several "action" widgets depending on certain factors.
It would be a helpful visual check if they knew that the "Proof Approved" widget is green and the "Proof Approved + Corrections" is yellow, or the like.

Hi Ali Moses, thanks for taking the time to share your detailed suggestion! It’s now been passed along to the Product Team 👍

Absolutely a great suggestion Ali Moses! We'd love to see this added at our enterprise, too.
Currently, we can color-code within a Text widget, but wide support for color-coding across all widget types would make a massive difference. It’d help teams instantly recognize key widgets —especially when managing lots of widgets or that visual backlog of activity at a glance.
A few ideas to enhance this feature further:
Let users choose background or border colors per widget.
Add conditional coloring, perhaps using automation rules, so widgets change color based on status (e.g., overdue = red, on track = green).
Potentially allow overall dashboard templates with saved colors, so teams can maintain consistent visual branding or workflows.
Would love to see this prioritized—it'd be a fast win for clarity and usability!
Oh, those are great additions Alexandra Torres! Thanks for posting.
I agree too! And I love the use of your Dashboard Ali Moses
Agreed Ali Moses and Alexandra Torres! This is one of those things that sounds like a small tweak that can have a BIG impact.
