Calculating averages of values in custom fields
I've set up some custom fields to help us count how many days a task spends per step in our custom workflow. I'd like to be able to see an average of how many days are spent on each step in our table views, so we can roll them up or break them down by team. (Ideally, we'd be able to see this in table view and also display this info in a dashboard, but that's a separate ask. 😅)
I've marked the columns counting days per task to "calculate subitems," per recommendations from Wrike forums, but I don't see any way to view or use this data. Is averaging data in custom fields possible? Is it also possible to display calculated averages on dashboards? Any guidance here would be appreciated!

averaging data is possible with the following custom field types: Number, Currency, Duration. If you use a duration type field in your usecase, you'd just have to edit the custom field settings and change the aggregation to "Average".

If you use a formula type field to calculate your values, I'm afraid it is not possible at the moment so aggregate those. But I'd encourage you to support this request: [Status: Backburner ⌛️] Aggregation Function (Sum and Average) in New Table View – Wrike Help Center

My guess is Florian's answer probably gets you what you want. I wanted to call out something you can now add to dashboards if you have a pinnacle subscription. They added metrics to show how long tasks or projects are in a status (total, max, and average). Link to the release note: HERE.

Thanks for the response! It looks like being able to get the average I'm looking for isn't currently possible because the custom fields are calculated via formula. I'll add my support for the request you highlighted.
