Automation to @mention when ANY custom field changes in a project

Hi everyone! Looking to see if there is a way to set up an automation rule where I would get @metioned if ANY custom field gets changed in projects or tasks within a specific space. I found where I can set up an automation rule for ONE custom field at a time within a particular space BUT that means I would have to create 50 individual automation rules (that's how many custom fields I have) so that I get notified if they change? I mean, I'll do what I have to do but I was hoping there was an easier way to get notified on a project and task level as a whole if any custom fields change. Thank you for your time!

Hi Christina Infante,

I don't believe your suggestion leads to the right direction. You would get a notification like "something has changed" without knowing what it was. I recommend supporting this request of Anna Giacobbe to track custom field changes in activity stream: Track custom field changes to activity stream – Wrike Help Center. If this would be applied by wrike, you would be notified the same way if someone changes the description of a task without leaving an @metinon. You could track every change by following the activity stream. And with the mobile wrike app you could even get a push-message :-)

PS: If your're wondering why you can't get a notification in your Wrike Inbox if "something" hast changed in a task you follow, welcome to the club!

Thank you  I will keep an eye on that one and upvote. The stream may not work for me because I manage and am an assignee on all projects and tasks so I see all activity happening daily and even with the stream filters, I can still have a lot of activity to go through just to find where a custom field may have been changed. For my situation, I wouldn't want a notification in my inbox that just says "something changed" but have it actually tell me which custom field changed in a project or task. I would imagine it would be the same automation rule I talked about above for "If custom field xxx changes --> @mention me" but instead of only allowing you to choose one custom field per rule, it would allow you to select all of them. This way if any custom field changes it would @mention me and tell me which field changed in which project or task. My work around is having to create an individual automation rule for every custom field I have which is fine. I was just hoping there was a way to batch select the custom fields and maybe I just wasn't doing it right. I really appreciate all of your help.

Hi Christina Infante

I understand your request, but even if yopu could select all custum fields to trigger an autoamtion rule, you wouldn't be able to achieve what you want. You'd have one trigger that can execute one action, that means one comment with the same text. in order to achieve your solution with one role, you would additionally need variables for the comment to be executed. This would be a nice feature, but it isn't available at the moment.
