traditional Fish fry
Defo a salad with fresh fruits, dates, cranberries, Greek yogurt and peanut butter! Add some granola to the mix and there you go!
My stepmom's homemade chicken and dumplings. Even the dumplings are made from scratch, and I always take home multiple servings.
My husband's home made chili and bread bowls. Mmm!
Warm sticky rice with tuna & a little soy sauce. It is the best and comfiest food.ย
Anything with a pasta or rice base!
Mmm, my grandma's Swedish pancakes. They're so easy to make, basically crepes rolled up into a tube and filled with a hot slurry of butter and sugar. It's just a delivery system for carbs, fat, and sugar, and they make you want to curl up and go to sleep.ย
A simple one. Pasta, pasta sauce and plenty of cheese. Yum yum
My favorite food is Arabic; I love their food and culture.Ramen and taquitos. Maybe not at the same time, but either of those, I'm a happy girl.
Mac and cheese for me. If I'm feeling like something a little different, I'll add cut up hot dogs for a little more protein. It always brightens my day.ย
Shushi!!
My husband's spaghetti Bolognese or an almond croissantย ย
Pasta for sure!
My comfort food is Annie's mac and cheese, only because it reminds me of home. I moved from California to the UK a few years ago, and it's extremely difficult to get boxed mac and cheese here. Whenever I go back, I leave space in my suitcase to stock up.ย
A large bowl of any soup other than chicken noodle or lentil - comfort food any time of the year.
My comfort food is Puerto Rican food. Pollo Guisado, Arroz con Gandules and Tostones.
Macaroni and cheese... It brings back some good memories of when I was a kid.ย
My ultimate comfort food when I'm sick was chicken and dumplings. That is definitely not on my meal plan, so moved on to kabocha squash or sweet potatoes with turkey tenderloin :)
My mom's Thanksgiving dinner, without a doubt.
A sandwich with a lot of cheese and a frappuccino from Starbucks
A cold brew of black coffee on a hot summer day to refresh & awaken
Bacon egg and cheese w/spkย
My favorite comfort food (because there are multiple...) would have to be potato soup made from my great-grandma's recipe. It is very simple, but brings back many childhood memories, as well as memories of my own kids enjoying it on a cold winter evening.
FIsh in cheese sauce
No question. For me, it's an iced coffee and an everything bagel double toasted with cream cheese. If I ever got a heart and banner tattoo, it would say "everything bagel" for sure.
Mine would be Cassoulet - a hearty recipe originating from southwestern France. I make it for my family every year after new year's!
