Trigger notifications for upcoming tasks

I currently have an automation set up to add a comment reminding users that a task is due within the next 12 hours. By default, unless you specify the exact time on a due date then the system assumes it is due at midnight or 00:00. I used to have the automation set to notify 24 hours in advance but that just caused emails and notifications to be sent at midnight the day before the task is due. I tried changing the timezone but that just causes other issues.

My other issue is when a due date is on a Monday, sending out a notification on Sunday will largely be ignored. It would be great if we could send notifications that a task will be due within X number of workdays.

In summary, it would be nice if we could

  • specify a time of day to send such notifications
  • set a condition for "Will be within the next" and then select X workdays instead of an absolute number of days/hours

Both of these would be very useful to us as well. We especially would love to specify working days or not. We too have notifications going out on non-working days that are not as useful.
