Show workflows in status changes in Activity Stream
Hi team,
It would be super helpful if status updates tracked in the Activity Stream on a work item would show, in some way, the workflow it is part of.
For context, we have several repeated statuses in a number of workflows ("Ready" in the example below). I was trying to investigate why this certain work item wasn't showing up on my colleague's personal dashboard when I noticed the change in workflow illustrated below. Because I cannot see what workflow the Dec 13 Ready status was in, I cannot confirm if it's a workflow that is missing from her configuration of her dashboard widgets.
It would be super helpful if the workflow would be stated in the Activity Stream when status changes are recorded. Ideas:
- Hovering over the Status shows the workflow (similar to other hover-overs across the platform)
- The workflow appears in brackets next to the Status mention - i.e. "Status (Workflow)"
Hi Anna Giacobbe, We had a similar issue. Our work around is that we added department or workflow abbreviations before our status names. For example, we have several "Submitted" statuses, but we differentiate because we call them "Art_Submitted, CSA_Submitted, QC_Submitted," etc. I know this doesn't totally solve the issue, but it at least makes it easier to research issues.
Hey Ali Moses :)
Thanks for the recommendation! That's definitely helpful, just worried with some character caps on some of our long status names haha.
Will consider this if there isn't a fix! Cheers.
Hi Anna Giacobbe, thanks for posting another feedback suggestion! It has now been forwarded to the Product Team. Ali Moses, thank you for jumping in and providing a workaround here. I really appreciate your help!
