Create a dashboard with a user-selectable parameter

I just discovered this feature so thought I'd share it in case anyone had similarly missed it.

I have a dashboard that shows all tasks from an order tracking project that we have created to track purchasing across our business.

As the built-in search engine in Wrike isn't amazing (sorry!) I wanted to build a dashboard that my users could use to filter the tasks within the purchasing project to a particular supplier (there are over a thousand tasks in that project now!).

We are using a custom field to track the supplier, so I created a dashboard showing all tasks and added the supplier custom filter as a field in the dashboard.

I then used the "parameter" feature on the dashboard to add the "supplier" custom field to the dashboard an lo and behold, my users can now locate an order by choosing the relevant supplier!

This might be super apparent to others, but I was very happy to have found this feature.
