What's the best template to use for tracking sponsor benefits at a nonprofit?
Hi! I've been a Wrike user for a few years now, but only in the marketing ticket request/task management space. I'm exploring other project management tools in Wrike and would like to ask for advice on the best template to use for a project.
I work for a nonprofit and we host fundraising events throughout the year where we solicit local businesses to be sponsors and we also partner with corporations throughout the year to fund our mission. My goal is to set up a project management space in Wrike to track all of the benefits we owe our sponsors and corporate partners.
For example, let's say one of our partners is Amazon. If they give us $50,000, we owe them benefits throughout the year like a social media spotlight, inclusion in a donor newsletter, logo placement on event signage, logo placement on our website, invitations to volunteering opportunities, etc. The benefits will adjust depending on the donation level of the partner. We would likely have around 50 partners that we would need to keep track of in this space. We want a way to keep track of all of the benefits owed to partners throughout the year, since they don't all happen at once. We would need to set due dates for the different benefits and assign owners of those tasks.
Any advice for the best way to do this would be much appreciated! 😊
Hi Shelby,
That's a great question!
There are several approaches here.
1) We could take subtasks for individual dates and keep track of benefits in them. Partners could be main tasks/projects. I would use Custom Item Types for this purpose.
2) You could make it a bit more simple and create additional custom fields for types of rewards and additional reminder dates within the client tasks/projects. I'd add reminders for those custom date fields with automation.
I've sent you an email and invited you to a quick call.
I wonder what community will propose here as another trick 😉
