Request Form Results to Different Folders

I'm sad that this isn't more requested. I'd love to have the ability to have one request form filter into different folders. We are working on a form for different contract types for our Ops team and they would like to sort the requests as they come in to different types. I created a custom field for the types of contracts, see the ability to "Add parent folder", but can't replace.

So I tried creating an automation to move projects in that folder to the appropriate folder based on the custom field, but I guess the automations don't see the creation of the project as a trigger since it isn't technically "changing". Does anyone have any creative workarounds?

Eric Fiero We use our request forms similarly, though we are mostly task-based instead of project-based. Here is how we tackled this issue:

  1. Set up a custom item type for each kind of contract.
  2. Build a blueprint using each contract type indicating where the new task should be located and what status it should be in.
  3. In your form, set up a single answer question asking what type of contract is needed.
  4. Use the in-form automation to replace with the specific contract blueprint type depending on what they choose.

There is an example below that is similar. Hope this helps!

Hi Eric Fiero,
with a single choice select you can "Add Parent Folder".
I've similar case, where users can select their PM, each PM has a specific folder and when a task is created I remove with automation other folder indicated in "Save to" on left side of the form
