Adding files to the project

If a file is added to a project in wrike, can that file be viewed from the tasks in that project? Or, if a file is added to a task inside the project can you see that attachment at the main project level?

For example, we have a task that prompts to create a 1st draft. It would save my team steps if they can attach the 1st draft to that task, mark it complete but also be able to see the 1st draft from the main project after that task is complete.

Maegen Maher You won't be able to view files on another task from a parent or child task, but have you tried the "Files" custom view type? That might help you with visibility.

I just went in and explored that view and it is not what we are needing. I don't need to see all files attached to open projects. I need to be able to access a specific file when at the project level without creating additional work for my team.

Unfortunately, that was the only idea I had. Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance!

Hi Maegen Maher 👋 I think that Ali's suggestion is definitely helpful when you want to see the files attached to tasks when viewing at the project level:

Alternatively, you can enable the "Files" field in the Table view and see all attachments in the tasks again when viewing at the project level:

I hope this is helpful!
