โQ: How can I find tasks that were created from a specific request form?
๐ฃ๏ธ A: Here are a couple recommendations:ย
Default Location
By default, there isn't a dedicated section where you can find items submitted via a specific request form. However, during the request form setup, you define a fixed number of locations where forms are saved once submitted. Checking these locations is the first step.
Search Using a Mandatory Question
Alternatively, you can take a mandatory question from the form and search for it using quotes to get an exact match:
Use a Specific Custom Item Type for Future Submissions
For future form submissions, consider creating a specific Custom Item Type and use it as a template just for this form:
This way, you can quickly apply filters in any view to find this Custom Item Type or build a Report or a Dashboard widget.

One thing our team does is have specific blueprints tied to each request form. These blueprints each have a prepopulated single select custom field with the name of the request form in it for quick reference. In addition, for blueprint control, we also stamp the name of the blueprint at the top of the parent description so that if any edits need to be made when new requests are made, it's easy to know which blueprint to revisit.
Kelsey Rudolph I love that idea, thank you! We have been struggling with this topic for a while and this is one of the best ideas I have heard.
Our mandatory questions are too often repeated from form to form, and Custom Item Types would only work on tasks moving forward in time. But adding a Custom Field we could do to some extent retroactively.
We have created a Request Form folder for each of our forms. So when the form is submitted, creates the task, it is assigned and put in that folder.ย Then, the assigned can cross tag it, if it should be part of a larger project as well.ย The below screenshot shows them - then, you'll notice some have sub folders for YOY we "archive" them so the top folder is current year.

Great tips! We created custom itens for requests, making easy to find it.
